  • Look, I just read the articles as they're written and point out the interesting pieces that don't fit in the headline. You got issues with Japan's finance system, that's something you should take up with the author, not the interested fucking reader. Christ on a cracker, hobbyless behavior

  • The plot thickens: transfers can generally be reversed, pulling the money back from a recipient. No reversal was initiated. The crowdfunding platform instead told the dev that they were waiting for the recipient to pay back the money they'd mistakenly received and signed a memo guaranteeing full funding two weeks after the issue first came up. Guess what didn't materialize two weeks after the issue first came up?

  • USA! USA! USA! We did it everybody! Once again, victory comes as easy as a homemade, baked-from-scratch, double-crust, lattice top apple pie made by the housekeeper I hired illegally and continue to pay slave wages to by threatening to report them for deportation. What, I'm contributing to the local tax base because they pay sales tax on the stuff they buy, you should be thanking me!

  • Touche! I'm gonna put this on the "...AND ANOTHER THING!!!" list if you're cool with it

  • Assuming you're a student, have you ever tried to write up a lab report from multiple arguments using the same experiment? It's a fun exercise in the potential for politics in science because it shows how you can capture and use the same data to argue diametrically opposing points.

  • Not Muslim here, but I struggled with rationalizing taking an easier way to get what I wanted. Intention matters: are you borrowing it until you can afford to buy it, and do you follow through? Or are you "borrowing" it until you get bored with it and don't feel it's worth the honor anymore? It basically came down to me having to look at how honest I was willing to be with myself in order to get what I wanted.

Halal and haram encourage Muslims to hold themselves accountable to a standard of behavior, right? They're there as signals for the right thing to do, but you're the only one who can hold yourself accountable over the things you do that nobody else knows about. What do your own values tell you, versus the values of the people around you? How have those values been influenced by your religious beliefs? How important are your religious beliefs to you? How much deviation from religious laws are you willing to accept from yourself? How about secular or regional laws? Being honest with your answers will help you see your best way through, even if they're not what others would want you to choose.

  • We'll liberate 'em but good! We're gonna liberate the hell outta those oil bodies, make them understand the value of our flavor of authoritarian democracy!

  • What's something you wish people would ask you about?

  • Well, shoot. I'll start with the questions if you want. :)

What's the most surprising thing you found out from imprisonment? Or what stood out in general as the best/worst/funniest/saddest/most interesting. Any favorite projects you can talk about that you worked on inside?

  • I hear your frustration. It's so hard to watch the people around you get that close to doing the right thing--we had such good momentum for a while--and then veer towards the opposite end of the behavioral spectrum like they were pushed. That kind of discouragement feels fucking terrible.

Take whatever time you need to heal up. If that's forever, it's forever; I'm sorry we left you in this state. I don't blame you for walking away, but if having someone to commiserate about the ridiculous state of affairs would help you sort out the internal chaos and make it easier to live with, please reach out. I'm always down for political gossip.

  • What a classic. There's an arcade nearby with a Tapper cabinet. There's one control, and it's a keg pull.

  • Pennsylvania contains a multitude. Every place has its assholes and amateurs, but it's not everywhere that puts them on tv

  • Look how high up he is! He's among the highest of fall risks right now

  • What's the strength modifier on a chicken laying an egg?

  • This is no lower 48 Roadkill Cafe, "you kill it, we grill it." This is a whole different set of cooking skills

  • Looks like a sturgeon, maybe? I'm no fishologist
