  • The issue is when you know your coworkers will be much more stressed because you didn't come in. You still shouldn't go to work if you're sick, but I try not to call out that often for the same of the people I work with.

  • Seems like one of the best types of systems in the world to me. Public insurance should have to compete with private insurance.

  • As an American, that's a way higher tax than I expected. Does everyone pay it, even people earning under a certain threshold? In the US we have social security and Medicare that everyone has to pay.

  • Yeah I've always heard that Amazon pays quite well. The only issue is that they'd work you to death in their warehouses if possible. It's a job that's good for quick cash but should never be a career.

  • Voting requires you to be legally allowed to vote. This just makes it easier to verify who can and cannot vote.

  • How is supporting men's mental health and advocating for them in ways they are often overlooked (such as in single fatherhood) bad?
