  • The long term is what I'm slightly concerned about.

  • Yes, that's makes sense. When I get really happy or excited I'll stim. When I drank the cordyceps tea, it was similar to being high, but my body and mind were calmer. Same effect with Tulsi tea. I know Tulsi tea has linalool in it. which is also in Marijuana. When I drink Tulsi or Cordyceps tea, it feels like my vision and brain are in a bubble, or I'm looking through a fishy eye lens if that makes sense. What I'm hoping, is that adaptogens just block certain receptors and aren't really changing the brain at all.

  • Any lists?

  • Okay, so I did 3 rounds of the method. Then, I did buteyko breathing. I worked out, did my yoga and tai chi. I'm the calmest I've been in a long time. It could be from the tea mix I had, though. I haven't had any paranoia at all. I drank a hibiscus tea mix, and hibiscus really helps with my paranoia/anxiety so that could be why I'm calm. I kinda want to try the method before bed, with buteyko afterwards, but it could be a gamble.

  • Apparently, Wim can influence his autonomic nervous system at will, or so he says. I think I know the real reason. Hear me out, when I do buteyko, it releases nitric oxide, which widens your blood vessels, and thickens the blood. Thicker blood means warmer body temperature. I could be way off, though.

  • I have tried meditating, and I meditate when I can. It hasn't done a whole lot for my panic attacks. I think I have underlying trauma that has surfaced, which caused the panic attacks.

  • Yes and no. He's had scientists do tests on him and it does activate different parts of your brain.

  • It's a Lenovo 2 in 1, 256gb hard drive, windows 11. I'd be using for browsing, media. I'd be using my newer computer more but the old computer would be a backup. I'd mostly use it to try out Linux distro.

  • So far, my toolkit includes yoga, tai chi/Qigong, buteyko, hibiscus/chamomile tea, matcha tea, and ASMR. I've been working on a regimen or plan which incorporates all of them. I was using adaptogens, but that's a diff story for another day.

  • I also started yoga and buteyko which also helped with my anxiety/panic attacks.

  • Aether is kinda like that, but they support "free speech" and there are subs with slurs as the title. Use at your own risk, I guess.

  • I used to have panic attacks a lot, but when I started the buteyko method, they have dropped/stopped dramatically. Now I can think more clearly, and I'm a lot calmer. If it's a scam, it's a damn good one, cause it helps my anxiety a lot.

  • Leans more left-wing. More welcoming community. Similar layout.

  • I wasn't aware satanism advocated for empathy and compassion towards all creatures. I would love to pick the brain of any members if they are interested.

  • I'm not saying to tolerate their views. Definitely call out their bullshit.

  • HOLY SHIT...I HAD A BRILLIANT IDEA! Since most free speech networks run on blockchain, and most of them aren't moderated, if a user uses a racial slur, they LOSE bitcoin or crypto when they get downvoted. What do you think?

  • If someone eats less carbs and high fat, with moderate protein, the body turns fat into ketones, which is more efficient for the body.

  • I mean, I guess it was inevitable? It's just sad to see good code go to waste to the alt-right/neo-nazi subhumans
