  • So like ... does Shen actually draw yuri? He's been making comics about it for years, but I haven't really seen any content that is yuri.

  • Actually, arresting Netanyahu for the ICC would be respecting international law.

  • Sounds like some kind of medical condition, I'd look into that. Eyesight, dyslexia etc.

  • I stopped consuming caffeine some time ago, can't say that it did much to improve my sleep.

  • The intentions are good.

As if, state surveillance is not a good intention. If it was really about protecting minors, there are many more useful and less invasive measures that haven't been taken yet. And why only minors, anyway? Most social media platforms are harmful and predatory for adults, too.

  • I'd say most people who use a desktop PC in the first place also use it for content consumption, probably even primarily. Definitely an "and" situation, not an "either/or" one.

  • Smartphones make productive or creative activities difficult and brainrot activities very easy.

  • pretty fresh TBH

  • Linux actually has a lot of people that get paid to work on it, especially nitty-gritty stuff like the kernel and drivers. Lots of multi-billion dollar companies rely on that stuff, so they often have some of their employees work some or even all of their working hours on FOSS.

Linus Torvalds himself is an employee of Red Hat, developing Linux is his entire job.

  • That's still flimsy by european standards lol, what is all that wood doing in my concrete floor and cinder block walls?

  • If the suit isn't cut extremely tight, it's not that hard to move in a suit. Especially if you're not wrestling or doing high kicks.

  • Isn't this typically said by gangster rappers, anyway? Lots of them have fake personas, and if it's real their hustle is often crime - not exactly something to aspire to, and there's already tons of discussion about the questionable messages of gangsters rap.

But also, I'd definitely be more motivated to work my ass off if I was living my dream, like most music artists are doing - not necessarily for money, but for being able to continue to live my dream, and make the most of however much time I have as a professional artist.

Prevailing message in media ... well ... most of the music I listen to doesn't have vocals ... I do consume a lot of fantasy content (books, games, TV shows/movies), where "get rich or die trying" is definitely a thing, though a lot of it also has more lofty motivations such as saving the world (which at least in games usually needs material wealth to accomplish), or the protagonist is just fighting for their life.

  • That's Northern Europe.

I often end up buying the music anyway, but sometimes I need a while to decide if I actually like a piece of music, or which of the albums of a new-to-me artist I want to buy.

  • Why are you even posting this here? There are dedicated communities for this topic.

  • Looks to me like you just arbitrarily decided without actual proof that people didn't read the comics, instead of considering that they DID read them and came to different conclusions than you.

  • Looks more functional and stable than my cardbord solution!

  • Interesting read.

  • A point is a pause, too, yet you say "point" out loud when reading a decimal number.
