  • I was just thinking about Doom the other day, and how mind-blowing it was when it came out, and being able to play on the network with friends.I'd really like someone to make a movie / documentary about it, I'd be fascinated to know how it was developed.

  • MS Flight Simulator (Xbox Gamepass) - I often fire it up, pick a place in the world I've never been but would like to go and fly around. I never take off or land, just get low to the ground and buzz.

  • This is what worries me - an instance creator terminates the instance for whatever reason, then all the accounts and posts are gone. Or the creator could hold the instance hostage - "Hey guys, costs are building up and I'm going to have to shut it down unless people donate"

  • I’m surprised at the price point - why not sell it at a loss (Apple can afford it) to drive uptake, which would increase app development, which would drive sales etc?Then as mass production and supply chain issues become moot post pandemic, they start to make a profit, and sell more. If sales stall because of the current global cost of living crisis, it might not take off. I’m really excited for it, and can afford one but it’s hard to justify at that price. Make it 2k and see how many sell.

  • Won’t be long before you discover sonarr, radarr, overseerr, prowlarr etc and realise you need docker containers and maybe proxmox and it just goes on.It’s great fun to tinker, come back in a couple of months and tell us what you’ve set up.
