  • I don't know if I ever came to terms with it, the thought of one day not existing has always brought me a level of deep comfort. Maybe try looking at it as a good thing instead of a bad thing.

  • I like Bo Burnham's titles (both from the song Rant):

    "The Blue-balled Anti-masturbator" and "The Great All-loving F*ggot-hater"

Edit: the instance removed the hate speech (which I was simply quoting and don't condone) so I censored it

  • I would say overall I'm below average. Fairly dumb. Bottom 30% of society.

I don't mind it too much. I know a lot about cinema and film history so I'm happy with that.

  • It's not "Black Lives Matter After Business Hours"

If you don't believe black lives matter all the time, then you don't believe black lives matter at all

  • Got two sci fis to recommend:

Coherence dinner party among friends gets stuck between alternate realities. One of those really good scripts that was shot on a microbudget. Weird movie, lots of fun to think about

Prospect a western film about a prospector going after a big score which also happens to be a sci fi movie set on an alien planet. Great film, very cool style and very underrated.

  • I cry at the most random things. Most recently I cried during the last episode of Only Connect because a contestant solved a clue in a very clever way

  • So you don't agree with BLM then

  • I still use both and they don't come close to serving the same purpose

  • Wow, I haven't thought about Wesnoth in nearly two decades. Great game!

  • he hasn't made a playable game since the 1990s

I'm always one for dramatic over-exaggeration but the Fable games are perfectly playable

  • Daisy, Baby Daisy for 200cc

  • I would love to work remotely regardless of if I have to move to a different country. Do you know of any remote positions that don't require much/any experience? Going back to school isn't an option for me right now (I'd need a safety net of at least a few months rent to feel comfortable doing that)

  • I've tried that, set up my deposits to automatically transfer $25 into savings but I've ended up having to transfer it back every time for one reason or another. I've never been able to get my savings over a couple hundred dollars at most

  • I wish I could send you my budget and have you help me sort it out. I spend the absolute minimum. I feel like I'm starving myself, both physically and emotionally. And still I have nothing.

I hope and wish that there is a better job out there for me but I'm an unskilled college dropout with nothing but experience in food service and some retail. There's not a whole lot out there in my experience that pays above minimum wage.

  • I think your radar needs some fine tuning
