  • I already explained in a different thread, that genocide is purposeful elimination of some nation or ethnicity. For something to be genocide you need an ethnicity and a goal to eliminate it.

    Palestinian is not an ethnicity, it's just a place where you live, like Californian. And Israel doesn't have a goal to eliminate them. The target is Hamas, a terrorist organization.

    On the contrary, the target of Hamas is elimination of all Jews, which is an ethnicity. They don't even hide their goal, you can read their charter.

  • Well, if the terrorist leaders ask you to do something for them, and you do exactly what they ask, but "for different reasons", I definitely have some questions.

  • South of Gaza is slightly safer than North. The people who stayed in the North either made a conscious choice to protect Hamas with their bodies, or were forced to stay.

    I don't ask people to die quietly, I think people must demand a humanitarian corridor to Egypt or another safe place.

    But I guess when you have 14 kids, the priorities are a bit different.

  • The thousands of children weren't the aim. We can argue about was it a war crime or not, probably was. But it cannot be a genocide.

    From what I understand, the actions of Hamas are clearly fell under this definition. Their goal is to kill all Jews. I don't see how actions of IDF could be classified as genocide, since their declared goal is to kill the Hamas leaders, and not some nation or ethnic group.
