  • I've found the package manager to be infuriatingly slow

  • I got a T490 (touchscreen) for around 27k. Prices here are a bit higher compared to other countries, hence you are getting advice on spending a set amount. It is absolutely worth the price considering the other new options at this price range are usually Chromebooks. The idea pad does not even compete in the same league as a thinkpad. Avoid the E series though. I’d say the i5 performs similarly to the i7 but is significantly better on battery, so it would be my pick.

  • Why aren't we seeing pit stop times?

  • DC could fall into the sun and still not be as tan as George Hamilton

  • I use a raspberry pi 4 with 3 simultaneous sessions sometimes. Direct play, it works fine. It can't transcode at all, though.

  • Tehc

    Jump
  • It's been 2 decades since grandma bought a pc

  • Skyrim. Meme mods aside, the vibe and soundtrack are just...chef's kiss

  • They have a habit of suddenly resetting to the bottom at the start of the season, let's hope they can break that curse

  • Had you installed the native programs or everything on docker?

  • Plus Google doing all they can to make rooting harder. Beginning to think it isn't worth it anymore. I definitely need it now to get rid of the horrid MIUI skin, but for my next phone I might just go for one with a stockish skin and keep it as is.

  • I faced this without an OS installed, my storage wasn't encrypted. Something to do with orangefox, because twrp worked normally.

  • Schitt's Creek

  • UI is fine... UX is a few good steps backward

  • Woops sorry I think I replied to the wrong comment. Lawnchair is pretty great, but I shifted to Neo where at least the community is a little active.

  • I work around 45 hours a week and earn around 35,000 rupees monthly. Translates to around 5k USD yearly. This is on the lower end for someone working in tech (I'm in QA, not a dev), developers can expect from 6k to 24k USD on average. They are also expected to reach work harder, though. There are exceptions to this, obviously.

  • I really like having a plain home screen that I can put widgets onto, so that leaves Niagara out

  • I actually gave this a go (or 6, over the past year) but it was a bit too radical for my taste

  • Every UI setup change needs a launcher restart to take effect
