Yes. I loved Reddit for a LONG time. They started to crumble in my opinion when the added these Snooavatars, which later turned into a NFT scheme. I never bothered with these. The promise of the website was awesome though. Being able to follow interests and communities instead of people was a completely new concept, which I had never seen before. Now it feels like the corporate greed has finally completely taken over.
Arch Linux. Its comfy.
I like that I don't get spied on. Furthermore it is not made by a company and 100% community driven, which makes it the best Distro for my usecase!
Pretty much only news.ycombinator.com. I haven't found much other interesting tech news sites and I don't think that my Reddit Homefeed will starting next month.
If you are interested in technology and or programming, you might want to have a look at Hacker News. It's a news aggregator for everything that involves technology and there are many interesting sites linked there on a daily basis.
Escaping Reddit's bullsh*t.
I exclusively use Reddit using Infinity, Apollo and old.reddit.com. They are now killing the API (and 3rd party clients for that matter) and I don't think that old.reddit.com will live much longer tbh and I cannot be bothered to use the new Reddit. It takes ages to load and is WAY to bloated. Add the NFT Profile pictures and RPAN into the mix and you have a dead website in my eyes.
Not necessarily. Its also possible to view unlisted videos using a frontend like piped AFAIK
