  • Oh lord! Yup got me again!

  • Apparently the Labour Party did.

  • It's doubly funny because these are chest compression practice mannequins called.... Annie.

  • Kids?

Or maybe someone was looking for bins to help fly tipping and found yours.

    Or kids?

  • Fair enough. I think it was a pretty strategic move by the Labour Left in this seat. I think the MP that gave it up for him to run did so knowing (well assuming) that it would be a shoe in.

But spicy if he loses 🤣!

  • What a simple solution!

    Oh.... shit. 🫠

  • It might be the right solution, but it wasn't simple. Look how constantly divided the country was throughout that time culminating in the UK leaving.

If it were simple the referendum would have been a no brainer and the red wall Labour voters wouldn't have sided with UKIP and the Tories in pulling us out. But there's a lot more nuances and complications that make it not simple.

  • Well, he was an MP the last two times he ran wasn't he 🤔?

  • He wouldn't run if he didn't already know the outcome.

  • Steady on mate. Why the personal attacks?

I'm against traditions made hundreds of years ago today that make no sense in modern society. Why do you need to carry a knife around? That's why I brought up the other example as one where religious traditions can change - and should.

Presumably you are against people wearing crosses, tattoos of significant people or events in somebodies life, football shirts, or any other symbol of something to care about.

There's no need to straw man an argument. What's the point of that?

  • The whole idea of religion is fucking dumb to me. Why do you need to carry a knife around and then justify it as being part of your religion? Stupid.

Different religion, granted, but this is religious "way of living" that is absolutely fucking dumb and thankfully dropped years ago.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sati_%28practice%29

a chiefly historical Hindu practice in which a widow burns alive on her deceased husband's funeral pyre

Sometimes you have to accept that traditions dreamt up hundreds of years ago are fucking stupid and should be abandoned.

  • LOL. Lives not knives. But I like that typo so will keep it in.

  • I'd say about 90 - 95% of the physical post I get (that isn't a package delivery) is shit I didn't ask for or want. Junk mail in other words. Goes straight into the paper recycling. What a humongous waste of resources.

  • Firstly fuck Elon Musk.

But secondly... these ancient religious rules are fucking dumb. My religion requires me to carry a weapon 🔪. Why should that override common sense law around carrying weapons? This isn't the ancient times. We're (supposed to be) a civilised country.

  • I imagine it's a question of scale and giving the mod a little bit more information to make their knives easier ☺️.

  • Careful Zack, don't forget what Tony did to David Kelly when he crossed him.

  • I mean to be fair, Nicola... You were the leader of a political party during which time your husband stole hundreds of thousands of pounds that benefited your lifestyles. I think it's fair that the press prints your face in reference to this story.

  • This tweet was made 13 years ago, in response to a particular event that had happened to me whilst backpacking as a young person - and wasn't ever meant for public consumption.

“Hence why I deleted it several years ago. It reflects the lack of constructive spaces for people facing sexual assault at the time

Wow! What a spin. There's no safe spaces for people facing sexual assault so I'm going to denigrate all Indian men as rapists.

Is the Green Party trying to compete with Reform for the most inappropriately selected candidates? Why can't these parties get their candidates properly?
