  • I felt like the "you did good" part of Sabine's redemption arc was over-played versus the "you fucking idiot you took one of the most valuable and potentially dangerous secrets in the galaxy home with you, and you may well have brought a terror even worse than Darth Vader back into play, and you may have ruined our chance of getting Ezra back."

I've caught more flack for buying someone the wrong type of beer.

  • I think it's also worth remembering that there are always people around who are malicious, and who will always deliberately misconstrue your words for some kind of personal gain - whether from gossip, or from acting morally superior, or just to make themselves feel better by insulting others.

There's not much you can do about that, but it will always happen.

I think I you have to come to terms with it because you can't please all of the people all of the time.

  • Sounds like they can't spare the troops and equipment, and don't want to take the shame.

  • I honestly don't mind chores so much, because they keep me actively while I'm listening to a podcast!

  • So my tips for doing these chores:

Always have your Bluetooth headphones on and a podcast to listen to while doing chores.

Smells make chores like this better. Make sure you have those nice smell sprinkle tablet things you put in your washing machine - it's nice to take clothes out and then fold them when they smell good.

Get some decent washing up liquid that you love to smell. Consider having a couple of different scents to switch it up

  • Oh my god. Do you people ever stop.

If only you could make a list of all the fascists and go door to door and drag them out into the street and execute them.

    Then everything would be OK!

  • You know sometimes when you meet a Christian person, and you only find it out later? But they were really respectful, down to earth, helpful and generally seems like a good person and member of their community? The kind off person that volunteers to drop of a second hand sofa in their station wagon?

And you know how sometimes you get Christians that are constantly trying to use their religion to imply moral superiority? Forcing other people to do what they want? Having shameful public displays? Trying to erode the rights of women and gays? Screeching Karens who seem totally disconnected from anything even slightly spiritual?

Woke people for me are more like the social justice equivalent of the second care category.

  • "ableist"

I mean there you are, you've just proved my point for me.

You just want to score moral outrage points because you're a narcissist.

Conversations with people like you are never productive because you are addicted to the outrage / moral reinforcement mechanism you've built for yourself.

  • "oppose their existence"

    Bullshit.

People who supper trans people 100% but yet think that self-id and trans people being in Ellen's sports is problematic are being called "terfs" and "transphobes"

    It's just insanity.

People like you with absolutely no sense of perspective are doing more harm to trans people than anyone else.

  • How do you work that out?

  • Ahh yes, calling people nazis and boot lickers isn't divisive.

You people are the new Christian Right from the 90s.

  • The fact that is has gained some support doesn't mean it will gain infinite support.

The amount of people who've believe in a flat earth has grown massively since the 90s, that doesn't mean eventually everyone will believe in a flat earth.

  • That wouldn't be a problem if so many far left people weren't so insufferably woke. You can pretend it's something made up by the right - but I've voted Labour all my life and I'm sick to death of wokeness.

  • It does. It's called the upvote button.

    We all have one.

People with extra money for shouldn't get to boost visibility.

  • Putin wasn't eligible to attend any presidential debates.

  • This comment was spot on - I listened to an interview with Vivek Ramaswamy and thought he was one of the most insincere bullshiters I've heard in a long time. "Chat GPT" nails it.

  • My Russian friend pointed out to me that Prigozhin was actually on his way to see Putin when he got shot down.

  • That's a bit of a low-resolution phrase.

Of course it obviously was a product of it's time - but it did push the boundaries as far as it could, and had to fight for some basic scenes.

Unlike many other "products of their time" that didn't even try and move the needle for positive representation.

  • Capitalism is to blame for my downvotes 😭
