  • Then I am very hopeful, because what's happening here from Orban's ruling party has been very contra-productive lately. The polling also shows a decisive lead in favor of the opposition party, Tisza. (58% vs 35%)

Here is a translated satirical summary from r/hungary of how absurd things are in the official communication (and there are still two weeks!):

After summarizing the information provided by Gergely Gulyás over the past few weeks, the situation has now become completely clear to me.

The fact is that the Ukrainians support Tisza, so Ukrainians have infiltrated Tisza to leak information about it, thereby weakening Tisza. But other Ukrainians are infiltrating these Ukrainian infiltration groups to prevent the leaks. However, yet other Ukrainians are monitoring them to expose the Ukrainians who are preventing the leaks. Meanwhile, the Hungarian secret service exposes the Ukrainians, but the Ukrainians leak this information through an investigative journalist working for them three years before the Tisza was founded, which Ukrainians again refute, and then Ukrainians also confirm it even in the past.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainians want Tisza to win, but the Ukrainians also want Tisza to lose, so the Ukrainians are campaigning for Tisza, while Zelenskyy is campaigning against Tisza, which other Ukrainians are coordinating so that the Ukrainians don’t know what the Ukrainians are doing.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainians secretly want to attack Orbán to boost Fidesz’s support, and everyone knows about this because the Ukrainians leaked it so that the Ukrainians wouldn’t remain in the dark. Meanwhile, within the Tisza, the Ukrainians want to destroy the Tisza, which the Ukrainians are trying to defend from the Ukrainians, while within the Tisza, the Ukrainians are investigating who the Ukrainians are. So, here’s where we stand: the Ukrainians are supporting the Tisza, the Ukrainians are sabotaging the Tisza, the Ukrainians are monitoring the Ukrainians, the Ukrainians are exposing the Ukrainians, the Ukrainians are misleading the Ukrainians, the Ukrainians are controlling the Ukrainians, and the Ukrainians are trying to figure out who the Ukrainians are.

In short: the Ukrainians are fighting against the Ukrainians as part of a complex, multi-pronged intelligence operation to determine what the Ukrainians ultimately want.

    It’s perfectly clear.

The only question now is when the Russians who support Fidesz, who are, of course, also Ukrainians, will appear in this story.

  • Current polling shows a 23 percentage point lead (58 v 35) in favor of the opposition party, Tisza.

Orban's circle are grasping at straws, they are already sending their stolen wealth abroad in containers. These are the last weeks of the orban regime.

  • I rearranged plasma to look like gnome. There is also a gnome-like overview (default keybind super+w). Changed to gnome's font (Inter, used to be cantarell). It's pretty neat.

  • That was the XDA forums, I never found their site very usefuly, but maybe that's just me.

  • Life accelerates disorder through order.

  • People can only make stupid mistakes so many times. Once exited the gene pool, that's it. Meanwhile an AI can spew statistical nonsense 24/7 without repercussion.

I trust an intelligence way more that managed to keep iteself alive, than one that is optimized to generate signal shaped noise.

  • The AX211 wifi adapter in my work laptop just straight up stopped functioning after a windows update. I can't even.

Going to ask IT for a linux image. In the meanwhile I use usb tethering.

  • Still can't find blackholium, what element number is it?

  • Fossify Launcher works well, that's what I switched to.

  • Lack of exposure would be my guess. People can pick up languages with adult brains too. English is my third language, but I use it every day to a degree that I find it hard not to think in english. Learned german for ten years, but as soon as I stopped using it english overtook it. Now I struggle to string a proper sentence together.

I have a suspicion it is.

  • I admit, all distros are a different degree of footguns, I'm saying this as a nix user. lol

  • You used to be able to get a whole shelf of 12 for $700. I'd also guess the increased demand is partly thanks to the quadrupled RAM prices deterring new PC builders.

There have been videos of these from over a year ago, but back then the SW support wasn't what it is now.

I think it's good that more people get their hands on these neat devices, grows the community and offers an alternative to getting gouged.

  • What you described is what happaned with arch. The transitioning shouldn't have happened this way, IMO.

Other distros usually don't send their users to TTY after an update if they can help it.

On the long term, the situation is the same on linux and windows: you choose the latest driver and live with that given feature set and its bugs.
