Ultimately though we are only in control of our own spaces. If we control our spaces our lives get easier because of it. Knowing they exist and that the state and society as a whole is entirely disinterested in fixing that problem aside from half baked deprogramming ideas hasnt enhanced my life in any way. All i can do is carry protection from them, make sure my spaces treat them as an active threat and live my life.
Yeah but it also means they can fester and rot in their little holes. You dont have to worry about an administration that is obsessed with free speech like its a good thing letting a colony like exploding heads in if you join the correct instance
The source is me. I've been following through somethingawful's buttcoin thread since 2011 and then on and off through political subreddits. One of the biggest things is that they HATED government-backed "fiat" currency and saw bitcoin as a replacement for the dollar (Even though bitcoin is also fiat and had notorious stealing issues and was just as unstable then as it is now)
Nah man, crypto was built in the circles of libertarian goldbugs in an attempt to privatize the dollar. Ultimately the aim of crypto is the opposite of the fediverse: to take away (theoretically) popular control of the dollar and throw it into corporate hands.
No one has ever wanted to work retail/service. And why would they? Customers can abuse employees with immunity and employers have a de facto dictatorial control over your life and the worst brag about how theyre eager to replace you
Progarchives is your friend. They've basically catalogued and rated the entirety of prog so if you need more stuff to listen to the highest rated albums there.
Here's some stuff you might like though: Mahavishnu Orchestra, Can, Frank Zappa, Return To Forever
Exclusives have been the console sellers since the industry stopped making pongsoles. Xbox exclusives have never been that great for the most part so i definitely believe him.
Yeah but if you didnt have a phone how much would you have to spend to get one? 500 dollars? 1000 dollars? You might not have them now but it costs like maybe 10 bucks to fix that.
They already did. I already didnt like imgur because of its love of posting irrelevant "trending content"(read:political memes and news screenshots) alongside the image i uploaded/clicked to view and insisting on having to use their app ala reddit but that was the last straw
Imma be honest, this sounds like some silicon valley futurist arrogance nonsense. Tech literally cannot usurp paper in terms of ease of use or how cheap it is to access. Paper is a renewable resource that requires a minimal amount of effort to process and create while every computer requires rare elements that have to be mined out of the ground in limited qualities. App makers still havent been able to create a decent note taking app and its been what, 15 years give or take since the tablet?
Really? I never launch my Xbox one and every time i want to play it feels like a multi gig update every time
