  • I like the "supportware" term, I can apply that to a few other tools (airbyte, teleport). I ended up setting up authentik today and it went really smoothly. So far I like it a lot, so hopefully the full enshittification process doesn't happen soon. Even though right now I just want to use it for my own self-hosting purposes, I'm also interested in potentially using it for work. We have a few hundred thousand users and AWS cognito is getting pretty expensive.

  • Thanks! It's actually difficult to find AC fans nowadays. Most are DC. It annoys me because I have separate light and fan switches on my walls, and that doesn't work with DC fans.

  • I watched the first 3 episodes of this show and didn't like it at all. The plot seemed silly and the characters a bit cringy. Am I missing something? Does it get better? Am I just wrong?

  • I know exactly what you're talking about. I had a few of them many years ago while in college. At the time, people would use them to make sure their laptops wouldn't make sounds when turning them on during class. I'll post an update if I find them.

  • I'm in a similar boat and was considering moving to Ireland or Chile. In the end, I couldn't overcome the immigration requirements, so I decided to just move to a better state within the US. Not sure if it's the best option, but maybe that could also improve things for you.
