My opinions are my own.

An upvote does not mean I agree with the content provided, just that I found it intriguing enough that others should consume it as well. The opposite being true for when I would downvote your content.

  • While COVID was awful, we did get something awesome for it in return: the MASSIVE research boost into mRNA-based applications.

The advancements it has made is nothing short of phenomenal. Creating a vaccine, verifying it is safe and then distributing it, all within a few years is absolutely insane, and was never done before.

And this twat now just wants more people to get sick.

  • Thought I was on theonion for a second

Honestly at this point I’m not even surprised anymore, what kinds of people would propose these kind of bills?

  • As a massive saints row fan, the ‘reboot’ made my jaw drop. Even Gat out of Hell was an enjoyable title compared to this mess. And it barely even had cutscenes!

  • This is a blast from the past

  • Honestly I don’t mind additional standards.

But I’m weary of: “does it really matter?”. As I’m sure just about everyone would prefer their data isn’t used, and it’s not the question that people care about.

Instead: How would anything like this be enforced, and by who?

  • Omg that’s a fair point

  • Tariffs don’t work if you don’t produce said good in your own country, or have the capability to import it from another country that is not tariffed by yourself.

By saying that, it’s no wonder people get annoyed products get more expensive.

  • Hmm, how would that work?

I assume if an ad is just trying to track what websites you visit often, this would not work 100% of the time, as they would still get your IP if a request went towards the advertiser, or am I misunderstanding how it works.

  • I was being generous when you consider the people in school who somehow pass, even when they don’t know a thing 🥲

  • Honestly I’m not sure I completely agree, we’re pretty close to a perfect TV with new LED technology.

But maybe we’re talking about a next stage here, like true 3D or something else like smell? I’m not sure what the future will be, but TVs look pretty good to me and I’m not sure what perfections the current ‘variant’ needs.

  • Apologies, if I came over as hostile. I did not get your meaning through text.

  • Except they’re not, as you will know their tweet would be false after your first year of any technical (IT oriented) education.

  • This is a stunning experience, and teaches you something at the same time.

Works perfectly fine on mobile, too!

  • Hey! Thats offensive to 19-25 year olds, there are many who just finished college/university and are more than aware.

They’re just role playing like in movies, with no idea of the consequences.

  • People still want to see people.

And, of course, you can make more money when you force everyone to come in.

  • What the fuck, no way

  • Can this be solved with just cameras, or would this need additional hardware? I know they removed LIDAR, but thought that would only be effective short range, and would not be too helpful at 65 km/h.

  • Thank you! Had the domain for a while, and now found the perfect use case for it :D

  • I feel like PeerTube only makes sense in the case of “I have the technical knowledge to host my own instance”

As indeed, I find it difficult to believe that any single “community”-instance will survive once it starts getting some traction. Hosting, maintaining and moderating such a platform would be extremely expensive if you have to do it for not only your own content.
