Second this, always had issues with wifi access points across a variety of brands until I put in a unifi access point which has been completely bulletproof since I put it in. I ended up moving all my networking gear to unifi and the ecosystem is a bit expensive but is worth it for the amount of time I don't have to touch it.
It has definitely made a difference for me. I got the 701 without a screen and always felt like I'd have to hang on a bit too much at highway speeds, which is no longer the case with the screen. I still cop a bit of wind to the face, but it's a big improvement in terms of comfort.
It is just a cheap $10 screen off AliExpress but I am really happy with it until I decide to bite the bullet and get a rally tower.

Sounds similar to my experience coming from the big V-Strom then. I have found that after some time I did acclimatise to the wind on the highway, but I am currently looking at this tower for mine when funds permit, as well as a MSC RM3 Steering Damper, the rear screw-top fuel cap and some twin pegs down the track.
