    the biggest problem with banning an ideology is that its followers can use suppression as a way to appeal to the disillusioned with the argument, "our ideology is so powerful that 'they' use bans and censorship to hide it from you!"

    so this hypothetical tit-for-twat model defangs that argument. "sure, go ahead, try being a nazi. see how far you get before you find out."

    Hm then how would we ensure people are verifying the person they're curb stomping is a qualifying member of an unprotected group? Maybe some sort of database system where they have to legally affirm they're a piece of shit who is waiving their right to not get the snot kicked outta them?

  • I considered it but she's uncharacteristically uncomfortable with nudity (for a European) and also what she needed help with was installing the air conditioner so I begrudgingly conceded that was more important than fixing the shirt, given it was 90 °F. I wouldn't have wanted AC dirt all over my tits either. Oh also I suppose that would have been tits in front of the open window which is considered rather impolite to the neighbors

  • today I wanted to sew up a hole in the shirt I wanted to wear so I sat at the sewing machine shirtless so that every time I would try to get up to go do something else, my tits being out would remind me oh yeah I want to sew this fucking hole in the shirt before I do anything fucking else.

    unfortunately I wasn't able to finish setting up the sewing machine before my roommate needed me for something, so I just put on the shirt. it still has a hole. 😑

  • I used to work in a baked goods factory where scrapped product and ingredients got sold to a pig feed supplier

    They constantly told the workers not to put any product that had touched the floor into the pig feed bins (the floor, aside from being the fucking gross floor, often had metal shavings, machine oil, etc. on it) but everyone ignored that rule and management barely tried to enforce it

    Another reason to feel bad for factory farmed animals. Those pigs probably have lacerations throughout their digestive system. :(
