  • I absolutely love the name on this one.

  • Yeah is there even anything else that puts counters on things? Seems like a card they designed just for fun and wanted a place to put it.

  • Yeah this looks incredibly fun. Stupid amount of mana, but incredibly powerful and counterspells can't ruin your day.

  • But the system also makes it so that when people act purely selfishly for money, that it results in good outcomes for everyone.

    Why do you think this??

Look at all the constant environmental disasters and harmful products that happen because corporations did the math and determined that paying a few million to lawsuits every once in a while is cheaper than being more careful. "Voting with your wallet" does not work because the big corporations undercut the competition and bombard us with advertising to ensure they will win no matter what.

Hell, most of us are on here because Reddit started doing scummy things in the name of money, and we're a tiny fraction of their userbase; Reddit is still unfortunately doing pretty much fine. Is that the best outcome for everyone?

And don't forget that there are a lot of regulations passed in the last hundred years that were necessary because corporations were doing stuff like dumping so many chemicals into our waterways that rivers would constantly catch fire. This is what happens with unfettered capitalism.

  • I guess this is the Ikoria creature that was teased. Well, mutate on it was too much to hope for but I was still expecting something more... Ikoria-y.

  • Interesting design. It's a strong colorless board wipe, but they made sure it can't just go into every color deck. Though I could still see some Green Eldrazi decks trying to run it.

  • Agreed, but unfortunately I expect this set to sell really well, because commander is extremely popular and the cards look cool. They're definitely testing how far they can push the prices.

  • Yeah I'd consider them pretty good for the usual price, but especially with these manabases they're disappointing for the marked up price. This deck seems pretty solid and synergistic with some sweet new cards, but the most valuable land is only a dollar!

I'll be tempted if the Eldrazi deck is cool, but I really don't want to support buying the decks at these prices. If they sell too well I'm worried it'll become the new standard for precon prices.

  • It goes really well with [[Enchanted Evening]], though you can't run that in this precon.

I'm pretty sure this is gonna end up being really expensive.

  • This looks insane. Run enchantment creatures and the many cards that draw from enchantments. You could play half your deck with this in a turn. You'd think this should at least have been a cast trigger instead.

  • This makes me wanna try to make a deck where all creatures are also enchantments. That's possible, I'm sure, right?

  • Sagas commander who looks good but will probably get overshadowed by [[Tom Bombadil]], though I guess she just goes right into his deck.

  • I saw "Behemoth" and thought about Craterhoof. This isn't as nuts as Craterhoof but it's still pretty darn cool. Might consider this for my Auras deck.

  • Yeah looks like you're right, big sad. Well maybe someday!

  • Yeah I considered making it just creatures, but figured it was already pretty narrow.

  • [[Narset, Enlightened Master]] is good, though she's not that much $-wise (I expected her to be more so actually). Just stick her as the commander.

  • I get hyped every time I see Ikoria even vaguely referenced, so this is cool.

  • This might be my favorite new art of the set. Beautiful art with good flavor text.

  • I'd consider getting it if it wasn't so darn expensive. Outside of the manabase it's not a bad deck but not nearly twice as good as a typical precon, and considering the manabase it's fairly disappointing.
