I don't really agree. LW controls too much of the communities on the fediverse.
Fair, some stuff there is very overblown, but the Jordan Lund post is legitimate (at least in my opinion). I had been meaning to make posts like these before, but that post was the tipping point. I moved !iiiiiiitttttttttttt@lemmy.world when there was no active drama about LW.
I explicitly asked other people to suggest what server it may be moved to. I personally don't think dbzer0 or AN is a good fit for a very generic community like this one.
I mean, I haven't read frankenstein myself, but when I was like 9 I read one of the condensed children's version, and the vibe I got was that he was misunderstood.
