  • You know the suits will go for it but holy shit it's pure slop

Just look at how many closeups there are. All the lighting is flat, the sets are noise, and the "acting" is more like a recital.

This is definitely meant more as a tech demo for crunching VFX artists even more, but half the complaints lately have been that the VFX in movies looks like trash because it's rushed. This looks 100x worse than any of those.

  • He absolutely got some kickbacks from Flock

  • Vault warden is good since it just continues to work with the existing stuff.

  • He is a cracker, so Graham Cracker works

  • You have your main kampf and your feature kampfs

  • Houston has thousands of these in their suburbs, but they're usually not something you're allowed to use and are full of bubblers/recirculators

  • The trucking and bakery ones are legit. Trucking guy it's an independent operator so his home address is his business address. And the bakery is an at home baked goods thing. I know several people who do that.

  • The MacDaddy of them all is Cape Coral. The American Venice.

  • Phoenix and Scottsdale are the worst

  • You have an LLM endpoint that caches responses. Like an endpoint that you just post a query to and an LLM with read only access to the database can give you some summary or something.

Maybe even an endpoint that you can ping to get documentation about the actual API that's trained on the docs.

  • Scrub Daddy's are actually really good sponges lol

  • The existence of laptops and scripting languages makes it a trivial afterthought.

  • "no mistakes"

  • The issue is that an API is kinda the foundation of everything. It's really hard to have that foundation when it could just decide not to be that foundation because one of the values in your POST request contained a text string that caused it to hallucinate.

LLMs can only process raw text, and any version of one that can run fast enough to replace a REST api will either have to be baked into bare metal and every API update now requires months of retraining on a test suite then fabrication of new chips, or you use a general purpose one with 1000X the compute.

This whole system still requires you to build an API that it can be tested/trained with anyways, and it will end up dispatching requests to that base API.

Why even have the middle man at that point? Just document your API and be done with it...

  • But it was working fine before and you have years of developer experience on that codebase! Now everyone needs to learn the new slopbase from scratch and your Zig devs are out in the cold!

This is also new code, so any existing model that was trained on the Zig code is cooked when it starts hallucinating stuff that no longer exists.

  • Why?

  • It's not random words, it's word patterns. If you start a dialogue with one that puts side A in the position of a capitalist oppressor, it's just going to find a lot of response material that's Marxist. It's not thinking, it's just showing us a mirror.

  • My small town in the US has automatic ticketing using license plate scanners. This is not new or unique and was in fact pioneered by US law enforcement.

  • I know, but for a long time everything was just made to look like bony lizzard. Jurassic Park didn't help
