    1. People say you’ll be able to play gamesYou don’t play games, it’s a false statement. Linux limitations restrict your access to many games.

    2. Batteries are betterNo, they were average

    3. Buy anywhereNo, you can’t EU had to wait entire year and Asia is exclusively for a unknown 3rd party market.

    4. Use as a office PCNope, you’re not going anywhere with that tiny screen to type stuff for work. Additional hardware is required.

    5. Offline playStill under DRM rules for games and still 30 days requirement to authenticate your ownership.

    It’s overhyped jackass

  • No one in Valve works in Proton’s development. You can’t lie your way out of GitHub contributions history, you can see it and i can see it.

  • How do you not view breaking the EU laws of GEO lock has not a criminal conviction. It was put into law before Valve moved to EU. Valve knew about the law and broke it with 5 other publishers. It’s a criminal act as stated in court documents.

    They are criminals.

  • Steam deck closed Source = yesProof it’s not? Tell me, i know you won’t find it because it’s not open source.

Proton the reason for the ability to play windows games = yesYou can’t play windows games on Linux, unless you’re telling me otherwise.

Steam Deck has problems with smaller Linux operating environments = yesBig Linux operating environments will always have users who support steam deck unlike smaller communities. Also, Linux that do everything to protect your privacy will never allow steam deck to function because YOU AGREE IN STEAM USER AGREEMENT. To allow the program to track you.

Valve Corporation lawsuit = yesAll current and past criminal cases here https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valve_Corporation

Anyone here who is wrong, it’s you.

  • Steam deck is lock down, so many problems would be solved if they opened source it. Proton is a software and not the reason Steam Deck is able to run games. You can install Wine and the same result will happen. No you couldn’t install any Linux, many tried.

Trusting billionaires yes what a great answer. Why not trust Amazon, Facebook and X CEOs aswell. If you think Gable is innocent then you are ignoring the many lawsuits Valve corporations committed.

  • Steam just killed CSGO with no possible way to replay it. They killed the card game, completely unplayable. VR Alyx is still only exclusively for VR, you have to get a user made mod to play. Proton development is not worked by employees of Valve, Github shows zero contribution from the lazy programmers.

Don’t talk about the small details of Nintendo games when Valve has done nothing for gaming.

  • It’s not always guarantee, older versions means worse than newer and Proton will eventually hit a point of failure with new games.

  • Neither in steam, the keysellers are scams and the developers can scam you with the key. You don’t own the game, Nintendo lets you own games in physical format and has never let publishers remove them.

  • You mean, it only can play because Proton allows it and Valve or any number of upgrades from either developer can make it unplayable.

Please stop saying it’s 100% it’s not accurate and will one day break.

  • Deck 2 won’t be better because just like last time people like you overhype it to science fiction. It’s not a PC that plays games, its a Linux based operating system that requires Proton. You people falsely believe Valve is promoting Linux. Hardware specs aren’t good enough and cheap Valve doesn’t want to pay more.

Nintendo has proven to create handheld devices before Valve was a company. Valve doesn’t care about gaming, Nintendo cares about their games.

  • Tell me how this isn’t Valve fault for promoting Trump’s and Alex jones game.

The games are scams, the games promote nazi propaganda, Valve is corrupt.

  • Finally, real newspapers just like the good old days.

  • Steam exclusive content of games isn’t a good thing. Moreover, it’s only a limitation of current technology until better hardware and software are developed. The Switch 2 can be better than Steam deck.

  • In a bad way because some are scams and others are so inappropriate that I could get banned in this group for talking about it.

  • No it doesn’t stop, before such things were invented, people did try to drown. Cartoons jokes about downing characters to escape their bad life was a thing. Jumping off cliffs to the sea was/is a thing.

Stopping people on the easy path to death just leads to alternative forms or a lot more dangerous situations that the person would suffer before they could finally die.

  • At this point the steam awards is just advertising. We don’t have proof of voting bots because Valve exclusively keeps things in secret.

  • We don’t have unlimited fuel, rockets cost too much fuel. It’s not even normal fuel either, it’s rare chemistry rocket technology that takes a while to develop.
