On the one hand, I admit this is kind of objectively silly behavior.
On the other, I think it’s valuable to consider these things and the role they play in consumer/user behavior. Convenience is undeniably a major/the primary reason many users don’t do what’s best for them.
I don’t think that’s a bad thing. The fact is, she is still a smarmy lunatic who supports fascism, even if she dislikes Trump personally. The left elevating her as a “reasonable centrist” gives her power and its power she would giddily abuse if given the opportunity.
They don’t have any to lose. They are so unpopular their only chance at meaningful wins on a national level is the Republicans being so profoundly incompetent it hurts swing voters.
