  • NOTICE

  • Noted.

    Disappointed.

  • Voyager and Avelon are quite solid imo. I’ll be back if Memmy comes back alive but the devs don’t even seem to be using Lemmy at all so not holding my breath.

Once the TestFlight runs out I’ll likely not install the App Store version.

  • I thought it was Bing? I’m not sure lol. I’ve noticed the drop in Google searches quality lately and switched to DDG.

    Seems much better now imo.

  • Synology NAS where all computers get backed up to locally. Restic for Linux, Time Machine for Mac, active backup for Windows.

NAS backs most of its data (that I trust enough to put on the cloud) encrypted to Google drive every night, occasionally I back the NAS up to an external 8tb hard-drive.

  • I have 3 of the 3rd generation ones to mess around on.

  • Thanks! I was up to 9.7 GB on the App Store version. Just switched to TestFlight. Will report if the issue comes back.

  • I have no desire to go skydiving at all…. But if I was 104… hell, why not?

  • Industry grade? Just need fiber with a good upload speed. Not that rare where I am anymore.

  • That’s already the case though?

  • MINE

  • Maybe because I’m on iOS 17?

  • I’d say Voyager is the most similar.

  • I don’t and it’s up to 8.94 GB

Needs to lower its cache size for sure.

  • Thanks for the tip. I’ve been waiting for this feature and it was there all along lol.

  • It’d be great to hear anything from the devs…

  • Memmy is pretty buggy. I was regularly bug finding to help out but unfortunately development seems to have dropped off a cliff now.

I’m not even sure the devs are using Lemmy at all anymore.

I mostly use Avelon and Voyager. Lemma has a great video player.

  • I’ve also been very happy with Avelon.

  • My PW manager told me that my info was leaked in the recent eye4fraud.com breach. How can I know what site shared my data with them?

  • You could use something like simplelogin.io to create aliases.

Integrates with password managers like Bitwarden nicely to generate aliases.

I think many other services support the + trick though too. The downside is that spammers know the + trick and can find out your base email easily; they can’t if you use an alias.
