  • So true. But this was mostly an ad

  • While I agree this is just an 'ad for their "product" ' the systematic biasis in machine learning models including LLMs is a real problem that should be discussed more. There are gender and racial biasis that need to be accounted for and hopefully removed.

  • They are good simple enjoyable "beach reads". I might through them again as my wintertime read

  • It's been great so far I am going to read some more from her

  • We played wtih a College of Eloquence bard for some high level play and he just couldn't fail some checks. He liked to roll and then get his 30 minimum.

  • I think at this point democrats needs move away from the ACA and push for single payer. I would love to see republicans do a 180 and support the ACA marketplaces (which were a conservative idea to begin with) instead of the larger single payer.

  • I am reading (maybe re-reading) The House of the Spirits. A friend said we read it in high school and I do remember reading One Hundred Years of Solitude in highschool as part of a magical realism unit but I can't really remember if I did the House of the Spirits. Its great and I can't put it down.

  • Its a classic that is worth reading

  • I keep going back to read more of The Dreden Files and forgetting where I was before. I am guessing if you have read 14 books its worth to keep going back. I think I went up to Blood Rites

  • Yoga. I started doing some distance running and besides learning to run in the correct zone so I am not maxing out my body everytime I have been doing this Post Run Yoga after most runs. It really helps and allows me to cool down and stretch well. The rest of her videos also rock

  • I feel like following a specific sports team feels like a full time job now. You can't just watch the games live, you have to follow all the players on social media, watch for trade rumors, following the pre and post seasons, know all players names and play fantasy sports. I used to like to casually watch most of the local teams play but the expectations around being a fan is too high. Since I am male it is assumed that this is my whole life and hobby when really I don't care that much. Now, I only want to watch a game with my friends as an excuse to hang out. It feels not worth the effort because there is too much content and you need to consume it all to engage with it. Makes me want to opt out

  • GUI change but the command line lasts forever. The GUI will change from version to version for any program but if you have a script or CLI that will last.

  • I am so glad because I use The Old Farmers Almanac website all the time. They have the best gardening advice. Bullet dodged

  • Part of me feels like we shouldn't tell people what they should do. That being said the idea that the Marathon is the ideal distance is kind of insane because of how much time it takes. (Both on the day and to train for it). Especailly with the number of people who run a marathon and then stop running. A half marathon or 10 mile does seem like a better "long" distance to strive for

  • So I know when I am makiing stir fries if I want lots of sauce I either add lots of different ingredients to build flavors. For example last night I had a sauce with Gochujang, Soy Sauce, Black Vinegar, Roasted sesame seeds oil, chili oil, chili garlic sauce. Each of which was in a smaller quantity but created a spicy and umami flavor that overall covered anything. So try to make multiple flavors together (which is traditional any way). I do love strong flavors so that might not work for you. If that doesn't work the water + corn starch slurry is a good method to make a sauce thick without adding much flavor.

Tomatoes are the base for most mexican style sauces so add more tomatoes. You can make your own or just use the most mild salsa you can find as a base.

  • I always upvote this. Love this image
