  • Sure, but doesn't that make you (and me too, since I actually grinned and felt really good about this initially) very similar to him and US republicans in general? Celebrating the "right people" being hurt?

I don't have an answer, I find it super hard to not hate the other side, but I don't think it's healthy or productive, and it doesn't really help anyone... Having said that, it does feel like at least the beginning of just punishment, doesn't it? I just wish people stopped being total dicks to each other and we didn't have to punish anyone... :(

  • I try to not be happy when people suffer, because I believe we should all be working to reduce suffering for everyone and not increase it for others (even if they are "those people"), but sometimes it's really hard...

  • Again, I believe every single goddamned product that requires an app and/or internet activation to work (ot provide all functions it advertises) needs a big fucking warning on the box similar to cancer warnings on cigarette packs. It also needs to be PROMINENTLY featured in the product description when it's sold - none of that fine print, big bold capital goddamned letters, right in everyone's face. The app cancer should be fought and advised against just like the real one...

  • So when are republicans changing the plaque on the Statue of Liberty to say

“Get out you tired, you poor,

You huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to El Salvador,

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

because the current one is way to woke and liberal?

  • "Fuck off you tired, you poor, You huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to El Salvador, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

  • They are trying to find the breaking point in fleecing gamers, and I sincerely hope they find it in the most painful (for them) way imaginable.

In reality they probably won't, because it seems the younger gamer generations enjoy being fleeced, but one can dream...

  • It's always a joke, a misunderstanding or taken out of context, isn't it? Unless it's the other tribe that's doing it - then it must be interpreted literally, is completely inexcusable and requires the most severe punishment that can be administered while furiously pearl-clutching...

  • More "Oopsie poopsie, administrative error! They're gone and we can't get them back because reasons!" in 3... 2... 1...

  • "Because our orange God-Emperor said so" not valid enough reason for ya? Too bad, it is for them, and I wish I was joking...

  • I mean, it's Nintendo - if there was a way to somehow automatically charge your card every time you say, hear or think the words "Nintendo", "Mario" and such, they'd do it without hesitation...

  • ...because if I'm not interested in something, I might change my mind after I see it a bunch more times on the same fucking page - what a brilliant idea! Hell, put the ad in 50 different spots and make me click no less than 7 times to close each one - who knows, maybe that will encourage me to buy whatever shit you're peddling!

  • Seems an alternative, easier method was found: https://www.windowscentral.com/software-apps/windows-11/an-even-better-microsoft-account-bypass-for-windows-11-has-already-been-discovered

    Relevant part:

But fret not, as a new, perhaps better bypass has already been discovered that still uses the command prompt (which you can open with Shift + F10) and makes skipping the Microsoft Account sign-in step a total breeze.

Discovered by user @witherornot1337 on X, typing "start ms-cxh:localonly" into the command prompt during the Windows 11 setup experience will allow you to create a local account directly without needing to skip connecting to the internet first.

  • The wine? No idea since I'm in Japan, but they do export uite a lot, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's at least one or two importers in the US. Not sure about the price though, with all the psychotic tariffs being applied and taken back and reapplied seemingly every week...

  • We'll all have to make a conscious decision as to whether we will resist, collaborate, leave or just try to keep our heads down until it's over.

I'm not particularly optimistic about which option most (or even just enough) Americans will choose...

  • Haven't done extensive research on it, but the lifetime guarantee on Darn Tough socks has made me their loyal fan and I recommend them to others too. I feel like they stand behind their product I stead of trying to constantly find new ways to nickel and dime me.

Another one is an Italian winemaker, Podere Pradarolo (https://www.poderepradarolo.com/). They make table wines, are not ashamed of it, don't try to position themselves as premium wine producers, and the owner refuses to raise the prices beyond the bare minimum that allows him to keep operating. They're not in it for profit, and it shows in their wines - they are fantastic for what they are and I always have a couple bottles at home.

  • Did Biden explicitly prohibit drinking bleach and eating rusty nails? Because if not, go right ahead you incompetent fucking morons, bon appetit!

  • America has its Gestapo now. How much longer until they create SS that swears fealty not to the US but to Trump?

  • True. At the same time, this magnitude of opsec fuckups can, and often does, result in people dying, which is fucking sad and infuriating...

  • It's going to make it SO much easier to add correct people to secret group chats when their usernames and profiles are anonymized! Fucking morons as far as the eye can see, holy shit...
