We already have Interac, a good homegrown solution. I'm sure it wouldn't be that hard for banks to piggyback on it to make credit transactions rather than debit.
It's perfectly on brand for the USA, really. This uppity woman didn't listen to the man of the house, so he had to wave his gun around to remind her of her place. He was so distraught at his authority being questioned that his gun accidentally went off while it was pointed at his daughter. The guy feels bad, so it's OK. Plus, as he said himself,
Kris Harrison had replied that he had two other daughters who lived with him so it [his daughter being sexually assaulted] would not upset him that much.
It's unlikely that these dorks are leaking military info (and why would the US even care?), but they should definitely be investigated. I think the real question is whether the US are using "force or violence", which would fall under C) and A)
a) uses force or violence for the purpose of overthrowing the government of Canada or a province;
b) without lawful authority, communicates or makes available to an agent of a state other than Canada, military or scientific information or any sketch, plan, model, article, note or document of a military or scientific character that he knows or ought to know may be used by that state for a purpose prejudicial to the safety or defence of Canada;
c) conspires with any person to commit high treason or to do anything mentioned in paragraph (a);
d) forms an intention to do anything that is high treason or that is mentioned in paragraph (a) and manifests that intention by an overt act; or
e) conspires with any person to do anything mentioned in paragraph (b) or forms an intention to do anything mentioned in paragraph (b) and manifests that intention by an overt act.
There are a lot of countries willing to mock them on their military might
This is just people memeing on them for their lackluster performance in WWII. Say what you will about that, but they certainly learned their lesson - since then they've been a military powerhouse, frankly the only European country that consistently pulls its weight in that respect. If other EU countries were Gaullist their combined military would outclass the US.
And that's not even getting into their "nuke first, ask quesitons later" policy.
