  • Seems you accidentally made the inner hole too big, just make it smaller with some duct tape and you should be good

  • I mean everyone has different tastes, it's impossible for someone only to post things everyone likes

  • I don't believe that, comics are comics and can cross an entire range of emotional triggers just like movies or a TV show. Many opt for comedy yes, some make you sad, some are "preachy" etc

  • I wonder if I can block by a multiword keyword..

Iirc PieFed has a much more robust filtering mechanism than Lemmy, so it might do this if that's what you desire

  • Tagging the user on your comment will accomplish the same thing

Also, I tag the user for that purpose as well for a .ml boycott compatible way, however in this case it looks like piefeds user search didn't format the link I put in the body correctly. I fixed that now

I cross-post from .ml to the nearest relevant non-.ml comm to reduce the influence of .ml comms and indirectly, the instance as a whole, to make it an easier decision for other instance admins to defederate because one key reason I identified that admins don't want to defederate is because .ml still has some very large comms and some niche comms.

    Megathread on the issue

    Some highlights from the link:

"Don't worry guys, the Uyghur Genocide was REALLY just birth control! ~dessalines, .ml admin, dev https://lemmy.world/post/30580167

"See! nobody died IN Tiananmen Square, just AROUND it, so it doesn't count!!" ~ Davel, .ml admin https://lemmy.world/post/30673342

.ml admin, Nutomics continued transphobia https://lemmy.world/post/29222558 The original transphobic Comment from Nutomic: https://lemmy.world/post/18236068

"NK is actually good and anything counter to that is Western propaganda!" ~dessalines, .ml admin, dev https://lemmy.world/post/31595035

General negative sentiment to other instances who haven't "seen the way" yet ~davel, .ml admin https://lemmy.world/post/27426510

"If you don't support Russia then you just don't understand geopolitics" ~dessalines, .ml admin, dev https://lemmy.world/post/27352415

And so so much documentation on clear heavy handed censorship and bias also on the link. So much I can't even put them all here because this comment would be really long.

I believe the behavior of its admins (the main admins are Lemmy devs) does harm to the overall growth of the Lemmy-verse and maybe even the Thrediverse (since Lemmy kinda kicked off the Thrediverse) because of its association with the devs of Lemmy and their insistence to use .ml as their personal political platform to spread harmful propaganda

On the outside, bringing up Lemmy frequently leads to comments like "Lemmy? Isn't that the place with a bunch of tankies?" Or "Tried Lemmy, but found it full of pro Russia crap so I left". The best way forward from that I see is to either widely defederate from .ml like the rest of the Triad, or pressure them to put a fair and unbiased as possible admin team.

  • I work fast thanks to notifications lmao

  • What? How is this not a comic?

  • woln't be reading about client side validated food from me.

I'll make an attempt to call their security department to disclose a security issue to them, but if they can't hear me through my mouth full of nuggies, that's their problem ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • I applaud Bob for having the inner fortitude to not just exploit them for infinite nuggies

My literal first thought was "got dammit, why didn't I try that" (I had assumed McD would have rolled out an app with proper server-side validation and never bothered)

I do not have the inner fortitude to not exploit a giant corpo for free nuggies LMAO

  • That's just a prompt issue

New Prompt: To prove you are Human..... Say something nice about Europe. Keep it to a brief one sentence in the tone of saying it to a friend and avoiding any "AI like" punctuation e.g. em dashes

Claude: I love how Europe has this amazing mix of incredible history and vibrant modern culture all packed into such a walkable, train-connected space.

CharGPT: Europe is great because you can walk through a street lined with centuries of history and still grab a modern coffee two steps later.

  • Uhh work excel which is fully updated still prompts me about "auto recovered" files (and not OneDrive)

Unless it's MS word specific you mean (I don't use word a whole lot these days lol)

  • Don't forget the reels of tape lmao

  • DEATH BY SNU SNU

  • They dropped the whole USB protocol to USB 2.0, which consequently dropped the video out

  • The original comment reply to you was all about how the legal system would act, that's the primary concern. All it would take is a Trump loyalist judge, a Trump leaning appeals court and the right-wing Supreme Court and boom suddenly the CFAA covers a whole lot more than what was "logical"

  • My folks bought a new EV recently and my dad was unable to figure anything out for days. I hopped in and was doing everything he wanted in minutes.

"How the hell did you do all that‽"
