  • Toys for Bob is making this game, the people who made the original trilogy remake. It'll probably be done well. They seem to get it.

  • Indie Devs: Allow us to introduce ourselves

  • Interesting looking game. Hopefully it's good. I remember loving the more "horror focused" missions on Elite Force 2.

  • The irony in claiming you don't type like that, but your entire comment is full of mangled punctuation and grammar, is hilarious.

  • This is a late-Gen Z/Gen A thing. They don't use punctuation or capitalization anymore. Apparently they view it as too formal or "fake". They relate it to "fake it til you make it" mentality in the workplace.

I know this is a "no the kids are wrong" take, but I just find it infuriating to read. I understand you want to be more genuine and I'm all for that....but if I can't fucking read what you write because it's 28 lines of all lower case, unpunctuated text....that's not a "professional" versus "being genuine" problem. That's broke ass communication.

  • Jesus 2: Electric Bugaloo

  • Religious people are already weird voodoo believers. Mormons just take it even further.

Also, IIRC, Jesus "was" the savior, but they believe that we needed more than him to save us because the world is icky icky. Jesus teachings got relegated to "good guidelines to follow" but John Smith "revised" Christianity when God supposedly spoke to him.

Or something. Religion is fucking stupid.

  • Leopards have a steady diet of faces these days.

I'd feel bad for the Mormons, but they're a bunch of shitheads, like most religious organizations.

  • If your networking gear isn't running open source and/or non-cloud connected software, it isn't yours.

  • Yeah this is still a problem.

  • How long do you think it'll take before Nintendo adds a software check so you can't have the European version outside of Europe beyond short term travel?

  • KDE Plasma. It's the most feature rich "just works" DE there is. GNOME doesn't even have fucking maximize and minimize buttons by default without adding them via GNOME Tweaks.

I used to be a Cinnamon/Linux Mint lover, but their slow implementation of Wayland, Window Scaling, and certain other annoyances like their split NetworkManager GUI between GNOME's UI and the native NetworkManager UI made me switch.

  • Ranch Liberal. Lol wat.

  • Multiple leviathan class creatures detected.....are you sure what you're doing is worth it?

  • Ori and the Blind Forest/Will of the Wisps - My absolute favorite platformer ever. Like playing a beautiful painting, with excellent music, and satisfyingly tight controls.

The Subnautica series - Great story with deep lore, but also has fun base building. Latest game has multiplayer up to 4 person co-op, but can also be enjoyed alone.

Stardew Valley - You mentioned this.....just get it. Seriously, I never met someone who didn't like it. Sorry for the 200+ hours of your life that are about to disappear. The very definition of "cozy game".

Dave the Diver - Fun and quirky game. "Base building" via a sushi restaurant, but also exploration and combat elements. There is a weeb character that makes your guns and your sushi chef is an eccentric man who is a bit too crazy about his sushi knives. New expansion DLC coming this summer.

Cult of the Lamb - Has co-op multiplayer local and remote. Base building meets rogue-like with cute animals that join a cult.

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime - Best played with up to 4 person local or online co-op. Weird name, great game.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart - Rivet and Ratchet OTP

It Takes Two - Requires co-op, either local or online. Excellent game to play with a significant other or close friend.

  • If you plug your ears hard enough, climate change doesn't exist. /s

  • I played during the trial period once. I usually love games with fun gameplay loops that have a bit of grind, but I couldn't get into WoW. It just didn't feel fun. It felt like a job. I'm still not sure how it became the largest MMO ever made.

  • My games are less "nobody liked it" and more "a lot of people have never heard of or tried it":

    Ori and the Blind Forest

    and

Ori and the Will of the Wisps

They're absolute masterpieces. It's like playing a video game version of a beautiful oil painting with incredibly tight movement controls. And the soundtrack.....MY GOD is it good.

It's one of those game series that I wish I could memory wipe to replay again. Sure, the story is a bit simplistic, but it hits the notes it needs to without dragging.

It's one of the best Metroidvania games ever made, but it kind of fell into obscurity similar to other masterpieces like Titanfall 2.
