  • What else do you want?

  • Get lost with fossil fuels. In the time that enough nuclear is built we can build enough storage and renewables to make coal, gas and nuclear mostly obsolete.

  • Yes and that nuclear power plant is not shut down at day time. Instead renewables will be throttled if there is an overproduction. That is the either/or scenario that I mean. Every watt that is produced by a nuclear power plant is pretty much a constant and displaces renewables. It also keeps the base energy costs high because they are constantly running.

  • Nuclear is an either or situation. Either nuclear or renewables. It makes no sense to build a nuclear plant and not run it at 100%. They are way too expensive for that. That means your energy prices will not go down even though we have incredibly cheap energy available. Nuclear is not cheap, not renewable and obtaining the nuclear material another problem on it's own.

  • Xbox controllers are bad. I have two with stick drift. The steam controller has TMR sticks. They should never drift as long as the springs don't wear out. They also have a few other goodies. They are more comparable to the Xbox elite controller.

  • I'm mostly happy with my qidi plus 4 but I'm not sure of they can be recommended. The prices are good but they have some problems with keeping up the quality as I heard. Also the qidi plus4 is quite loud and I heard they multi color unit is very loud. Speed and print quality are excellent though. I'm not sure if there is a better printer for the price but maybe paying a bit more might give you a better printer.

  • I mean the second amendment is part of the constitution and it clearly talks about this so....

  • I am lucky. I am the only one who will notice.

  • I usually know exactly when my instance goes down. It's when I fuck up.

  • I assume most people see that AI does more bad than good. There are legitimate use cases but it's not possible to decouple them from the negative impacts. Power usage, resource shortages, water waste, environmental harms, disinformation, power concentration, IP theft and more are ll things that come even with the good uses of AI. And if it is so strongly coupled there is a two sides argument that evolves from that. Either you accept all the negatives for the positives (or don't see the negatives as negative) or you find that the positives don't outweigh the negatives. That often means you are either for or against AI.

  • I don't mind the second it takes. Better than the service going down because of AI bots.

  • If I don't get my timeline mixed up Discover never existed during Voyager's time. They went to the future during Pike's time. The drive was never revisited probably because the expert on it was now in the future.

  • I like blorp

  • Yes I thought the same. I like the idea but I'd be much more interested in seeing a database of specific materials and how to bond them to other materials.

  • I'd rather pay for a product than be the product. But do as you please.

  • Try kagi. Seriously. You can try it for free.

  • No game is good enough to convince me to pay a subscription to play it online. I refused back when WoW came out and I will continue to do so. There are enough exclusives on PC.

If the price of gamepass annoys you and you have a pc maybe you could also find games that don't need it.

  • You could get a pc and not pay for online play. Just saying.
