If you don't have a specific interest and/or lack the skill of finding new content that you like , RSS mostly won't help you unless it has a " suggestion " feature , while on ActivityPub ( or any other social media ) you can find new content that might or might not suit you just by browsing

Yes , I tested it on Ubuntu mate and Mint mate , but I didn't like it and honestly don't want something Windows-like , one of the reasons why I'm thinking about moving to Linux - when it's possible - is to try something new and far from windows , I don't mind some similarities, of course, but Mate is more similar than I want
To me , firefox and its android forks have nothing to offer other than ublock and extensions support in general, but only a few of these extensions are reviewed by Mozilla so if I needed another extension that is essential to my browsing but it's not reviewed... I'll have to ignore the voice in my mind that asks me " Are you sure the extension you installed can't see your password while you're typing it ? " ... But I'll give it another opportunity and try waterfox again
The good thing about it is clearly security , but its focus on privacy comes at the expense of speed ... which is its main disadvantage in my experience
