  • Totally, I'm commuting by bike almost every work day of the year and it's infuriating how many cyclists have their headlights misaligned.

  • Hah, nice. The more the merrier!

  • Thunder!

  • Learnt programming as a kid on my dads PSION. I owe my career to that device. It came with a BASIC manual on paper. That must have been the most important part of the package.

  • Nice technique. I have previously only seen it with laser cut wood, why not for 3d printing?!

  • One of my first movies and I'll never forget that adventure. I have no question though.

  • I beg to disagree about the disadvantages. An important one is that you cannot easily update shared libraries globally. This is a problem with things like libssl or similar. Another disadvantage is the added complexity both wrt. to operation but also in general the amount of code running. It can also be problematic that many people just run containers without doing any auditing. In general containers are pretty opaque compared to os packaged software which is usually compiled individually for the os.

This being said, systemd offers a lot of isolation features that allows similar isolation to containers but without having to deal with docker.

  • Thanks for that list. I have AllPHA. Will try it out soon. Is it very hydrophilic?

  • Very interesting. Thanks! I wonder if it could be used as an axis in a 3d printer

  • Not a big fan of Bezos though.

  • What brand do you use? Where do you buy? On what continent are you sitting?

  • I might, but first I would need to clean up the file a bit and make things a bit more parametric. The problem is that darts are all differently sized, it's difficult to make a case that fits all.

  • It's a good idea but I'm sceptical about anything friction to hold the darts. The problem is that they have very sharp machined rings that make them very non-slippery to the fingers. I'm pretty sure those rings would file off anything they slide against very quickly.

The steel tip does not have this problem though, so adding some part that pushes against the tip might be the solution. Alternatively, i could also make the part that houses the flights be somehow spring loaded and squeeze them.

  • Man, I love PHA, at least the idea of it. I have an unopened roll of it lying around because I'm afraid to waste it. I'll give it a go on my next print. It's unfortunate that it's still hard to find and a bit expensive. All hail PHA!

  • Mostly me going fast and not doing things parametrically. Also incompatibility between different object types where I needed to create a Body from a Part to use it in a PartDesign Boolean.

  • It's great!!!!!

  • Yeah, I think I see what you mean. I'm very plastic conservative so I hope I can go without printing a second one, therefore the clip idea. Also the clip is a bit more practical better looking.
