It's just that your or some person's footprint moves the needle only a little when the problem lies in with the corporations, industries and countries still allowed to pollute or create the consumer market options, and they're pushing the narrative toward people in the environment they set. Insanity is in the illusion of choice, that something like shittier, more polluting clothing is forced to the masses because they can't choose the expensive better options even though it'd be better in the long run.

I guess some mod actions could be considered accidents or mistakes instead of bad actors. A transparent system would have a flow to allow the user to contact and get such a mistake rectified, or report a wrongful mod action to an admin.
But if the admin is a problem, then that needs more figuring out how to get one removed.

Ideally yes, education would be enough, but as these systems lack national and EU level safeties, education is being dismantled and information warfare has a greater efficiency. There's no time to rely that people will self correct just by improving their knowledge, people generally don't have a motive for being informed when they're trying to survive.
