  • "Bastard! You fall down!"

Strange name for a cat. Actually, perhaps not.

  • I wonder if he'll get his job back when it's proved to have been a false flag operation?

  • I've only just started it and I'm trying to make it last! As usual, it's gripping and a wonderful reading experience.

  • My actions, mostly.

e.g. causing unnecessary conflict by trying to change someone's political views when I really should just shut up.

  • The books are way better than the film, as usual.

  • Apparently!

  • If it were a drug, it would be banned by now.

  • And Lee Child wrote a Jack Reacher book about it.

  • Any law that is solely enforced by a fine is simply a pay-to-do activity for the rich.

  • Another excellent show we thoroughly enjoyed!

  • Yes, we've watched that; it was excellent. I do enjoy the books too.

  • UK: I'd recommend Slow Horses on AppleTV. Gary Oldman heads a cast of misfits from an MI5 unit of rejects. Drama and comedy in a perfect blend.

  • DARK. The plot, casting and soundtrack are all superb, and way ahead of most other shows. Although Season 3 will fuck you up, it also nails the ending.

  • Nope. I genuinely believe most major party (democratic?) politicians are about the same.

  • Oh, I completely agree: violence is never acceptable against politicians. Well, Putin aside. But my fundamental point remains: politicians have lost all sense of shame. When you think back to the Profumo affair, or even Nixon, politicians used to resign when caught out. They were held to a high standard as representatives of the people. These days they won't resign unless forced after weeks.

  • Maybe it's because the politicians have also lost all sense of shame.

  • I hate it when I find myself agreeing with Medvedev.

"The peacekeeper is at it again. The talks with Iran were just a cover. Everyone knew that.”

  • Because the rules should apply to everyone, obviously.

Edit: and because GB News has been breaking them for ages now.

  • Let's see the Government apply those existing rules to GB News first, eh?
