  • The source code is open, but Its not traditionally open-source.

Thats good enough for me, but worth noting.

  • Mr kolakani, how did you get username font like that

  • I haven't had any issues with sync, I often have to work in areas without wifi/data and as amazed at the LAN aspect of hotspotting with this app, The backup feature is great for peace of mind aswell.

One thing to note is that it seems to sync (encrypted) to their server, with no option to turn it off [yet]

  • I use anytype!

Theres a bit of a learning curve but it even has local sync (you can sync your phone/laptop even without WiFi using hotspot)

    https://anytype.io/

  • Shouldn't make a damn difference! Ask this person to explain their thought process

  • I was disappointed with this at first, until I loaded the "Cori" voiceset. It outshines the others

  • Obtanium is a direct download, so if both that and fdroid are acting up its either your ISP or your hardware

  • Fairphone + degoogled rom is the best bet until linux phones can be daily drivers

  • looks great! seems to be built for linux mint users as its focused on cinnamon - but only available through aur?

  • "Anytype is good enough, but its not FOSS"

    how so?

  • From my privacy trials on ollama - any model downloaded does not know the date or time and cannot access the internet.

If you are still sceptical you could download something like alpaca on flathub and once youve acquired a model, remove internet access etc through flatseal.

  • I can tell you how to view the subreddit, but you wont be able to post still

  • theres a cool preset called "futuristic" on the linux version (cool retro term) -with a bit of tweaking you can make it look like a terminal from the alien franchise

  • backups of books I have bought with ebooks..

Foliate on linux is a great ebook reader

(or KOreader on both androix linux - this setup allows you sync your page progress)
