  • Guts would have been an acceptable edgelord answer as well, but they had to pick Griffith.

  • Woah woah woah. Who's a hexbear? And stop minimizing rape culture.

  • As I mentioned somewhere up the thread, I'm not talking about you personally. I'm talking about the lack of societal acknowledgement and awareness regarding the issue. When 63% of women working in the Australian parliament report being sexually harassed as I linked above, and there are years of newspaper articles from all over the world regarding it yet there's no societal awareness of the problem something has to change.

I'm not talking about you personally of course. I'm sure that you are against rape culture that is prevalent in Australia, Japan, and much of the world over.

  • I can't believe the Brits lost them. I thought they were holding all the artifacts there for safekeeping as a goodwill gesture to the rest of the world.

  • Exactly comrade. It's not active malice, but the the lack of acknowledgement that constitute much of rape culture.

  • Yes, it's like that in much of the world. Australian laws until recently silenced SA survivors for example as I linked down below. It's good that you're learning about it and engaging with it. Rape culture must be stopped world over.

  • On the other hand, not having thorny discussions in the beginning is how groups splinter into a myriad pieces in a year or two.

  • When I say minimizing, I don't mean you personally making excuses or apologies for SA. Of course you wouldn't do that.

I'm referring to the societal minimization where despite years of news and research, people still don't acknowledge it as a widespread problem.

  • It is known world-wide. Western media has been covering it for years. I don't live in Australia and I know about it.

Minimizing the rape culture of Australia only hurts its victims.

  • I specifically mentioned Australia due to its rampant rape culture. Just because you're not aware of it doesn't mean it's not happening.

  • Yes, exactly. The soviet defensive doctrine is partially inefficient because they wanted the entire operational area to be hardened without a specific weak point to exploit or breakthrough. The offensive army is forced to Trudge 😉 through the entire region.

  • Woah woah hold on there buddy. You wouldn't blame Australia when some Australians are sexual assaulters would you?

  • Your own map shows fortifications all over the theater. Yes, there's more concentrated towards the front naturally. Are you talking about that?

  • That's exactly what I'm talking about. How is that a line to break through? It's a mesh of defensive fortifications miles deep.

  • It's not exactly a line. It's miles and miles of defensive fortifications, entrenchments, units, and supply lines in a myriad configurations. There's no breaking through it in a traditional sense. Like I said earlier, the entire doctrine of warfare is different, like how the US armed forces doctrine is based on aerial support.

  • The problem of that approach is that winter is coming soon and battles will soon ground to a halt. Which will give Russians the time to build up their defensive layers again.

Spring offensive of 2024 will commence afterwards. And then the spring offensive of 2025, 2026, 2027...

  • Unless the Russians abandoned all of good Soviet military doctrine (which is quite possible since they're so virulently anti-communist), that is the furthest from the truth possible.

The Soviet military doctrine has been Deep Operation since the founding of the nation, where there is no single hard battlefront, instead keeping the combat line deep and flexible. Unless there is significant evidence to the contrary, I would assume that the operational paradigm for the Russian military remains the same.

  • They're 10% positive on the West? Thank you for this valuable information comrade. We'll be sending them back to the reeducation center for ideological training purposes.
