  • Im pretty sure these articles are written with AI. He already uses AI for generating images for the articles too. Like this paragraph from one of the articles.. Who the fudge writes like this?

    Text in image:

This single question filters out script writers from script engineers. Most beginners write scripts that silently fail. Production scripts at companies like Stripe or Palantir use strict error handling from line one.

  • I find it rather interesting that the same author wrote a new article about how to install Ubuntu 24.04 LTS the day after writing about Ubuntu's trust problem, but without mentioning the previous article or any point he previously made...

  • Holy shit I almost whish I didn't read through that list...So sad to see so many projects go down this path...

  • Does that make Debian standard filter coffee? The coffee everyone can get behind 🫶

  • Thanks ill add that to my list :)

  • Well thanks so much to however someone is!!

  • Thanks a lot for the insights. I have dabbled a tiny amoubt with nix so far and while it was steep i do feel like it was doable. I am very likely to fall into the rabbithole again soon, and as you say probably very smart to run proxmox underneath for stability and convince 😊

  • Yeah same here, recently installed Cachy and the first impressions have been great!

  • Welcome to Lemmy 🫶

  • Any pain points in specific you could point out?

  • Absolutely, in an optimal world it would be easier to audit software ourselves through tooling, but we're not there yet. Personally looking to build a pipeline to run apps i wan to host through tools such as:, semgrep, grype and trivy, to at least get somewhat of an overview.

  • Yeah this is true, its been voted against twice but its still something a good portion of us want, myself included. While we do have access to a lot of the good stuff from the EU, we also already basically follow all their rules and orders too, we're just not allowed to vote on it... AFAIK if Iceland joins, that would leave only Norway and Lichtenstein left in the EEA agreement. Might as well have both of us join the EU too imo. There are both downsides and upsides to joining of course, personally would like to see it happen.

  • Really hoping this happens! Will also put more preasure on Norway to join 💯

  • Thanks for sharing! Sounds like ita time for me to checkout GB!
