  • Wow that's an amazing run you've given that kindle! I used to have that one as well, years ago.

If you are sticking in the Amazon/Kindle world, then a new Kindle (whether you go with the base Kindle or the Paperwhite) you'll have a much faster experience for sure. The newer eink readers now can do several page turns without any real visual flash of the refresh. It's a small thing but very nice.

The Paperwhite has a backlight which is helpful for night reading. You'll also get dark mode in the new software (not sure if your keyboard kindle has stayed up to date with software updates or not). Also there's waterproofing.

The base kindle just loses the light and the waterproofing.

If you're not going to stick with Amazon, take a look at the Kobo readers. They're a great alternative to people not stuck in the Amazon world.

  • Loved this series!

OMD3 was online multi-player and was one of the games in Stadia that I and a friend of mine would play a ton of.

    So much fun.

  • Yup! I see there's another Patient Gamers on another instance too:

    https://lemmy.ml/c/patientgamers@sh.itjust.works

I think when I start getting to the subscribing functionality in my summer lemmy app project I'll try and add some type of grouping.

Would be nice to have the multireddit type functionality to see a combined feed of communities with the same name that you follow on various instances.

  • I just tested this on my phone now in Jerboa and it opens the community in-app for me, not a browser. .

    I'm in version 0.0.32

  • Same here.

I read these articles as a nice piece of mind for future me to have a solution should I ever need it.

But my steamdeck joysticks haven't been an issue at all so far.

  • Welcome!

  • Nah it's probably just my fault taking you literally. It was a long day at work and my brain was a bit fried.

    Sorry!

  • That is insane. Kudos to whoever had the patience to make that.

  • You should try posting it to the "What is this thing" community.

I can't figure out a way to link to a community from within the jerboa app, but the web url for it is:

    https://lemmy.ml/c/whatisthisthing

I wish it was like reddit where I could just type:

    /c/whatisthisthing

And it would link to the local community. Oh well.

    Good luck!

  • Wow I am the exact opposite 😂

I would not be for the removal of these points as the only option here.

If anything having a new option in the settings of the app to hide any up/down/vote counts seems like the only way to not make some people happy and others upset.

    Let people choose.

I still think showing those numbers should be the default though.

  • Please do! That would be great!
