To a conservative, freedom is second or third behind respecting authority and corporations are king.
There is a reason they love Trump - he's a wanna be dictator.
There's a reason they cheer tax cuts for business and the wealthy while they get screwed.
If they are banned on their home instance, then are they banned everywhere? Does it work like an email address, where if your hosting server (Gmail for instance) bans your email address, then you can no longer send or recieve emails?
So if your home lemmy server bans you, then how could you ever post anywhere else?
I agree. Lemmy doesn't have to replace Reddit, it just has to be a working alternative.
Over time Lemmy may gain a much wider audience, but as long as it has enough users to be entertaining and informative, then it will be a good alternative to corporate social media.

What you people don't understand is that intolerance isn't a right. No one has to, and no one ever should, tolerate you being intolerant of others.
