Yes, I can hear you, Clem Fandango!

  • morphing into a different species is just not something we have a word for because it’s never happened before.

Oh man wait until you hear about some of the ideas from this Charles Darwin guy!

  • I always thought this attitude is exactly why Picard is so damn good at what he does. He has humility. He does not think of himself as the overarching hero of the story, he sees himself as one of but many players on the stage of life. He is the hero of story not because he tries to be, but because he does the right thing because it's the right thing to do. He doesn't think he's special at all, he thinks "this is just what you're supposed to do, why would I need to be praised for the default?" He doesn't see that specialness inside himself individually, instead he sees specialness in every person (human to gas-entity alike) he meets, he sees the brilliance of life, of all its different ways of being, and just sees beauty and the desire to support that beauty's healthy growth. That's how it always felt to me anyway, the reason he is the hero is because he's actually not trying to be a hero. This arguably goes for everyone on the Enterprise, but we obviously get much more of a focus on Picard throughout the series, as our Philosopher Captain.

  • Oh absolutely, but the fact that he can listen to experts means he may just be willing enough to listen to experts and do some socially ingratiating things even if he as a person doesn't actually care about them. Zuck is an evil asshole, but I don't actually think he's stupid.

He's actually in shape in a healthy way, he's not roided up at all. He's out there practicing and succeeding. I can't stand the fucking guy, but the idea that he's totally soft when he's the only billionaire I've seen who actually does stuff like listen to his coaches is silly. Footage of him training shows that he has amazing coaches (he obviously can afford the best) and he definitely listens to them.

  • RIP Norm.

  • Wow, and I thought I was the only one who actually thought Aloy was really pretty but also didn't understand the accolades for the writing which seemed very one note and had flat character development.

  • It's hilariously sad because it all hinges on them somehow keeping complete control over everyone after all the systems that brought them to the level of wealth they have will be broken and gone. They fail to understand that they succeeded in a system where they didn't have to fear someone cutting their head off to take their place as the new leader of the bunker or will just cut off their head and just fucking leave the bunker behind with their corpse left rotting all alone. When all rules and order are out of the window, they are 100% reliant on their precious technology to continue being in control. All it takes is a failure of ONE of those systems for it to all come crashing down and for their head of security to become a new local warlord. They literally are textbook definitions of "hubris."

Only Zuckerberg actually seems to be considering that aspect in terms of his physical training and fighting training. I wouldn't be surprised if he's also had extensive firearms training, honestly. Out of all of them I can see him having the self-discipline to actually learn the skills he would need to survive after retreating to a bunker. He may still come off like a robot, but he's clearly a little bit more put together than the rest of them, who are either roided out freaks like Bezos or idiots like Musk who couldn't even get roided up correctly because he's so fucking lazy.

  • These people are not clever.

  • Might want to put a warning that this may be "habit forming." Yuk yuk yuk.

Neat little app, although I don't think it will help me stop picking my nose.

  • Diff'rent strokes

  • I gotta pee so bad, my molars are swimming.

I gotta pee so bad I can taste it.

  • You really don't want a snake eye in your brown eye

  • With the way the Trump admin is going I'm surprised they haven't totallt dismantled the ADA already.

    1. People without a mobile device are fucked out of being able to pass a captcha

    2. As if this isn't a way for them to associate multiple sessions on multiple specific devices with one another, this is just another avenue for data collection, period. Hidden under the guise of "more secure."

  • I heard that motherfucker had like thirty-seven god damned dicks.

  • He really just wants to kill the economy and tourism, huh?

It's not like there aren't millions of average white collar workers worldwide who have to travel to Big Blue Cities for conferences because that's where all the major businesses are.

Nobody is flying to fucking Jackson or Biloxi in Mississippi for fucking conferences and business deals.

It's going to be aimed at places like NYC, LA, Seattle, Boston, and Portland. It's going to cripple international business and tourism. And like always it won't do a damn thing to help red states.

  • "How do you kill that which has no life?"
