  • "I got one on my car"

  • It seems crazy to me that currently it takes just 50%+1 to change the state constitution. That being said, fast-tracking a special election to raise the threshold to 60% before an amendment polling at 59% goes to the vote is the worst kind of anti-democratic behavior. They're trying to change the rules halfway through the attempt.

  • After escaping from a mental institution in 1945, he went into business

    That explains the bottles.

Seriously though, glad he got out. His ramblings were coming from a good heart and his soap is legendary.

  • I want to see how many people have less than 10 or 15 sec watch time... like how many "video views" are just the video autoplaying in someone's feed as they scroll by?

3.8 mil "video views" is still more than the 3.3 mil viewers he got on Fox, but >2 sec is such a trash metric that I really have no idea how many people are actually watching.

  • I suspect it has to do with legal compliance. Only available in US = only needing to comply with US law.

  • Threads is looking into adding an alternative home feed, of only posts, in chronological order, from the people each individual user follows

I'm so confused as to why this (or something resembling this) isn't default behavior.

  • "We've decided to expand our policy of not paying bills. We're now retroactively un-paying bills we've already paid."

  • I really hope something comes of this. The fake electors are a WAY bigger deal than the documents case.

  • it’s possible that he was offered some kind of deal

It's been reported that Lukashenko (of Belarus) brokered a deal. I haven't seen any further details.

  • Wagner took over Rostov last night. They have an airport.

  • School libraries ought to have all the major religious works of the major religions. Religion has a lot of influence on the world. There are a lot of reasons someone might want to learn about it.

Having just a Bible is bullshit, and imo overt religious indoctrination.

  • They're clearly not witches, as evidenced by the fact that they don't float.

  • It also said Amazon put customers seeking to cancel through a cumbersome "four-page, six-click, fifteen option" process, which the FTC said was known internally as "Iliad" in a nod to the Greek epic about the "long, arduous Trojan War".

At least we get to live in a dystopian hellscape that respects the classics.

  • That's one of the better articles I've seen about all this. They actually understand what's going on.

  • I know my personal experience isn't statistical proof of anything, but I've known a couple of people who started using meth, then their life fell apart. I don't know anyone whose life fell apart first and started using meth later.

  • This is an ad masquerading as news.

  • "Only" a third on meth? Jfc that's high.

There are a lot of reasons people end up homeless. One specific drug being involved in a third of cases is huge.
