Is Sen

  • I cancelled the kids disney+ in advance, they seem to chuck it either free or discounted with different 3rd party promotions like with 02 so I’m not paying full price for it again. Never see promotions like that for Netflix so I just pay it.

  • Yeah I’m that case nothing can be done but say your site had a European operation that would be be covered under GDPR and the US parent would likely pay the fine to continue their operations on the continent

  • My whinge is, why do people pick up their dog’s crap with a bag but the leave it on the floor in a bag, it won’t decompose that way, put the bag in a bin! The lazy twits

  • Sounds like you’re in a coding type role. Mate the market is very bouyant for our skills right now. I am starting a new job on Monday where my pay has gone up significantly over my last one.

  • Use a google or Microsoft account for your 2FA in that case, that’s what I do and have 2FA there

  • Hahaha I was just thinking it was like they used to have with their glass bottles, not sure if they still sell those in the supermarkets. Iv been getting plastic for years now

  • ChatGPT itself has not been hacked nor has OpenAI, mainly that fraudsters are obtaining ChatGPT logins by other means. Use 2FA

  • 🤣

  • You can find this information for yourself by searching Lemmy. Can’t be arsed with this back and forth when the information is freely available, the mod logs prior to the defederation shows no mass user ban on their instance. Which is what you would expect to see to justify the defederation. They also said they were defederating because of the fact Lemmy.world and sh.itjustworks didnt require email verification on sign up.

    Way to kill a joke.

    Good day to you, adieu

  • Mod logs

  • That’s what they said but there wasn’t much harassment, mainly they were preempting this.

  • It’s mostly spam users unfortunately, someone posted a script and guide that allowed auto generation of users on any instance that didn’t have captcha enabled. Since then user counts have started shooting up.

Captcha is now enabled on some instances but the issue will be continuing on other instances that haven’t heard the message yet.

Best we use active users as the main metric to measure growth now.

  • I’ll check it out! Also check out the communities over at feddit.uk

  • A CCP administrated forum! Taking inspiration straight from spez

  • Whooosssh, beehaw being there is the joke. They see themselves as better than other Lemmy instances and have defederated some other large instances

  • There’s so many things wrong with the way beehaw is run that I don’t even know where to start.

  • Totally disagree, the more tech savvy can spin up their own single user instances if they want, be fully in control of their own content and participate just like anyone on any large instance bar being defederated. All for basically free

  • I am in the UK and that’s really useful to know. Thanks

  • Primarily gaming but also anything looks astounding on it above 1080p, lower resolutions than that though aren’t upscaled great but I never watch content that low res anyway. Refuse to. Mines using LED backlights too, since then Samsung have released Neo-QLED that is even better and brighter than mine.

Honestly on my TV lights look real, headlights on cars, the sun, torches, flames all look like it’s just a pane of glass in front of me. Almost blinds you, never had that experience with a TV previously. To me it’s better than cinema screens.

Brightness in terms of nits is really important, and something the OLED diehard fans don’t seem to appreciate. I get the blacks too with the local dimming yeah not as good as OLED but close enough for me not to care.

I knew about OLED but I wanted the pinnacle of a tried and tested technology over something new.
