  • Firstly, FairLife is Coke, not any sort of small brand. Second, to say they abuse animals is misleading since they don't own farms. There's currently a class action against Coca-Cola and FairLife over them supplying from shitty farms that abuse animals. Some people will say support for is the same as the act, but I don't think FairLife being deceptive is equally as bad as the farmers themselves mistreating their livestock.

  • India and Pakistan had fallen pretty far in the "most likely to start a nuclear war" category for me, but I will say this move will push them to be a contender for the title.

  • League of Legends 🤢

  • No! You clearly underestimate Trump, he will throw the full force of the Taxpayer Dollar to Elon Musk and SpaceX to launch as many satellites as the anti-ICBM constellation would need.

This is literally just a means to make Musk richer.

  • The way we educate science is we go "thus is it! But actually not but you'll learn the complexities later". Think of how they teach you the structure of the atom from highschool up to university level.

Unfortunately most people stop science education at highschool, which usually stops at "Sex is determined by the chromosomes" and doesn't complicate it further because they still gotta get to chromosome replication before the end of the chapter.

  • Okay then what about the highway exit near my home? I can't see when people get into a turn lane and I can turn left from my off ramp. If they'd just all signal that they're turning my life would be easier.

This is just true regardless of if the turn lane crosses traffic or not.

  • Leach wood ashes with water to make lye. Soap is easy

  • Lol, I just left another comment saying how when I pulled all-nighters back in school, energy drinks in particular were a trap that would knock me the fuck out if I'd had no sleep.

  • I remember when I used to pull all-nighters, I came to think of caffeine as a trap. If I was on 18+hrs of no sleep, 1 energy drink and I'd be passe out in 10 minutes.

  • Never went as far as wanting her toes sucked (openly) but my ex wished I had a foot fetish.

  • It isn't because if you serve me food (not even good, just edible) and you give me that, IDC how shit faced I am, I'm gonna throw it at you. That isn't food, and the fact that you're so hellbent on pointing out that it's a pub just enforces the stereotype that the English don't know anything about food.

English food has always been "just have pints until it's edible". But even that has its limits.

  • They do realize that, they don't see what they want as that tho. This guy is too stupid for that, and he himself is not a oligarch

  • The fact is that it's pretty much irrelevant what kind of establishment it is. The point is who the fuck pays for that sandwich. Your insistence on correcting them on something totally irrelevant to the point makes you a twat.

  • Because they want everyone to "get on the Trump Train" (support Trump). That's all the original Trump Train post wants.

  • I wish people would stop saying "the government". It's the people in charge, the government is a tool they are using. This should be making people angry that their govt is being manipulated into a tool to be used against them. Saying "the government" makes it this big imposing organization and stops reminding you that the people behind the problems are soft meat sacks just like the rest of us.

Nothing against your points, your comment only reminded me of this. People are more scared of "the government" than they are of other people

  • If I'm understanding umit correctly, it's more like they only experience the emotions of a situation in that situation and memories lack that cognitive association with those emotions.

  • Genuine question, is this really the reason why? If it's between this (which I also feel is a pretty low point) and ads, I felt Lemmy would be full of the people who'd rather pay.

  • I also have a hard time with ID politics and the like, but I'm also a privileged white dude so my primary gripe will always be focused around economic disparity. The BLM protests helped me see it this way: There is not war but the class war, but there are multiple fronts. If we don't at least try a little to protect minority groups, we won't have any progressives left
