  • I thought this was more of a British-American pronunciation difference: I (English) generally say roo-ting, and I’ve only ever heard USians say row-ting (row like argument, not like rowing a boat).

    I think the disparity in team quality is probably down to the tournament being expanded, and most countries having underdeveloped women’s sides. The expansion is necessary to encourage that development but also shows it up.
