  • For those people all the problems come from beeing different and through that, having to discuss stuff wich should be allready clear. Weirdos make the world complicated and they want their life easy and what is an easy solution? Make the weirdows disappear. And you better stay in line or you are the next.

  • For me death is what gives life a meaning. No game is fun if you have to play it forever, no quest can be finished no boss is ever defeted. Things need to end. That is how Evolution works things have to change or everything is just frozen in time. The difficulty of decissions comes from their finality. You cant go back to school. You can't go back and ask this person out. So your life might be meaningless in the grand scheme of it all but it metters in the short period of our existence. Does it really matter if you stand up each morning? It actually does.

  • The Decission was made long before Fukushima on the 14. 06. 2000. Th plan was to push for renewables and gas (because Schröder and Putin are friends probably). Then the conservatives under Merkel slowed down the transition and extended the runningtime for reactors for 10 to 14 years. Then Fukushima hit and a state elacion was up where the antinuclear greens now polled high. So Merkel axed nuclear energy (as it was planed from the beginning) in hope to get some votes.

    Continuning nuclear was never really an optin for the last 20 years. Germany should have build new nuclear powerplants in the last 20 years but now all closed reactors should be closed due to their age anyway and new ones would be to expencive and would take 10 years so the wouldn't help with the transition.

  • Yes and no. The og plan was made before Merkel. Merkel slowed the trasition down. But suddently Fukushima hit and the anti nuclear greens had good chances in the upcoming state election. So she closed the powerplans in hope to win an election but the plan was to shut them down anyway but now with less renewables than there should be.

  • Ich bin der Meinung, dass kritische Infrastruktur im Besitz des Staates sein sollte. Wir sehen ja jestzt schon wir nur das nötigste am laufen gehalten wird. Viele Strecken sind nicht rentabel. Wenn die bahn nicht die Pflicht zuf Beförderung hätte wären kaum noch Dörfer angebunden.

    Ich kann mir auch schwer vorstellen wie konkurrende Firmen auf einem sehr eingeschränkten Markt agieren wollen.wenn die Strecke besetzt ist, ist sie besetzt. Andererseits bekommen das Flugbetreiber auch hin🤷‍♂️

  • Kleines wichtiges Detail: die Bahn ist nicht privatisiert. Alle Bahn Aktien sind im Besitz des Deutschen Staates. Die Bahn wird aber privatwirtschaftlich geführt. Der Staat hat immer noch volle Kontrolle über die Bahn.

  • Die Frau hat halt Werbung bei einem reichweitenstarken konservativen bis rechtsextremen Sender unseres größten Verbündeten gemacht wo China eh kein gutes Standing hat. Die Sympathiepunkte hat sie absichtlich von China in die USA verschoben. China heult da natürlich rum. Die heulen immer rum wenn man sie nicht anhimmelt.

  • Interaction through a medium is social media i guess. But i wouldn't call ist that. Lemmy, WhatsApp and YouTube aren't really social media for me. I don't throw personal stuff into the void of people i more or less don't know in hope to get likes.
