It's a conundrum, as being free-to-play is why the silly fanservice exists, T&A sells. But should China move past this shit with premium releases, they could end up buckling to the pressure to appeal to the modern audience and tone things down like everyone else, thus destroying what makes their designs so appealing in the first place.

The best part is that people can't even decide what the parent term roguelike even means. It's a source of constant arguments what a true roguelike is, resulting in terms like roguelite. Now, everyone is adding even more terms to the original, and at a certain point, all these words kinda lose their meaning as they get further watered down. But hey, at the end of the day, you and everyone else immediately knew what roguevania was implying, so it did its job I guess.

Yeah, kinda surprising, right, that they actually teamed up with Modretro, a company that actually cares about its customers. It's a strange pairing, but I'm glad it's happening. More Ubisoft titles are coming from Modretro.

I had the GBA game back in the day. The GBC game is better, and was released very late in the console's life, the GBA was actually out when this GBC game launched. Basically the GBC game is one of the best platformers on the console, much like Wayforward's titles late in the GBC's life.

If you can't afford it, it isn't for you, basically. It literally is a fashion accessory with a leather bed for the fancy pen, precisely what Montblanc is known for, and you're arguing about a couple hundred bucks difference. Personally I think it's compelling, somewhat, and am curious how it was designed and what parts are used. I won't buy one, but there is clearly a place in the market, as Supernote has proven.

Like if you wanna ignore that part, sure. This company sells $500 ballpoint pens, their watches are $3k and up. Last I looked they have a fancy pen that comes with the tablet. This is all very on brand for them, so like I said it's surprising it doesn't cost more. So yes I'd say similar ballpark to competitors, it ain't like this is $3k or something, it's under a grand, like all E Ink note taking tablets.

And this isn't even the first company to come up with selling a fancy pen for an E Ink note-taking device. Supernote has been selling fancy stylus pens for years now, including Lammy. All Montblanc is doing here is riding their coattails with their own branding.

It's in the same ballpark as its competitors, not that far off, especially compared to Montblanc's typical pricing. It's pricey, but you'd think it would be worse with their name.

What I'm more curious about is what kind of screen it is using, and how good the software is.

Yep, just learned about it today, it looks great.

That clear blue case is hot, I want.
