If I have a question that I'd usually search on reddit for, i just make a post here instead and drum up content for the future, plus I usually get way more than I asked for from people as almost everyone here is a damn genius and usually very polite and understanding.
I don't think he's gonna try to lie that much at this point, at least not lies meant to portray innocence . I think he's gonna focus on outrage, riling up the whackos who think this behavior is acceptable and warranted. I imagine we'll hear a lot about the usual stuff like "witch hunt", "deep state", etc. He's gonna be pretty blatant about his motives cause he knows he's got. He will attempt to incite violence and perhaps even squeak out a few whatabouts to try and drag a few other corrupt rich people down with him. I dunno, it's gonna be interesting, sadly.
Daytime reality TV drama following orange man's prison escapades incoming. Just kidding, he won't go to actual jail. More like a gated retirement home with all the perks.

I live in a red county of a battleground state, but not much of a battle imo. More like theatre. Cutting your puppet strings lands you in jail, impoverished etc. The left is just liberals here. If you aren't out for your own self interest you are ostracized. It's surreal even though I have been a part of it my entire life. Helping people is largely frowned upon in my area. My partner works at a wawa. She's got some co workers who are constantly punching down, "looLook!, that person is probably on foodstsmps,, gross"...you work at a damn gas station and you are probably on food stamps too. 🙄
They even uphold some principal in the name of wawa Inc. Taking petty theft as a personal affront "that's like stealing from our paychecks!" Wtf

Self interest rules here. It is in most young peoples interest to just say fuck it, for their own well being and mental health, head in the sand and try to survive. What else to do? Corporate profit rules, and slavery is written into the constitution.
Through this same path of apathy I was able to find myself, and my own path forward, and here I am posting ramblings on lemmy. But I'm glad I'm not growing up today quite frankly, and im glad i had the people and friends I did. I was raised on punk rock lol.
If there is an uptick in conservatism, and or apathy it's in large part to the sense of self depreciation that's instilled in us, as well as that ever present streak of contrarianism in youth coupled with the disaster that is our education system and unhealthy use of social media.
Polarization and Apathy are a feature of the political and economic system it would seem to me. But I'm just a self depreciating uneducated idiot, with my own fair share of apathy.
