  • Australia, under Morrison, joined AUKUS in September of 2021. At the time, O'Brien was national security advisor and Gray was a member of the national security council.

Morrison now works alongside O'Brien and Gray at AGS.

  • AGS delivers unparalleled expertise for its clients by assessing the global political environment and devising strategies to navigate international and domestic challenges. Founded by Trump-era former U.S. National Security Advisor Ambassador Robert C. O'Brien and former National Security Council Chief of Staff Alexander B. Gray, the firm has assembled a leading team of experts with experience at the White House, State Department, and Pentagon.

  • China is sending aid to Gaza, is pressuring regional partners to stop infighting, and Chinese weapons are "accidentally" ending up in Palestinian hands. Chinese shipping is blatantly showcasing the viability of Yemen's sanctions by restricting shipments to Israel in exchange for transiting the Red Sea (putting the ships at risk of getting caught in a US/UK strike). China, in general, has a policy off no-military-intervention outside of it's immediate vicinity and hasn't fired ammunition at an enemy since the fall of the Soviiet Union, and hasn't fought at scale since 1979. China does not express its power with "who has a bigger stick."

Are we also forgetting that China mediated the Iran-KSA rapprochement, which had direct implications on the Israel-KSA relationship?

  • If you're going to spread misinformation, at least research it properly.

Every ship attacked by Ansar Allah has ties to Israel, whether that be through the owner, the operator, the crew, or the cargo. For example, Maersk is, today, still accepting shipments to Israel and still maintains an office in Tel Aviv.

  • This reeks of France saying they're not "French" mercenaries: they're mercenaries that happen to be of French nationality.

I don't think many people are claiming that the French government is paying mercenaries to fight in Ukraine, but that the Ukrainian government may be paying French mercenaries to fight in Ukraine.

  • I don't see any language tag on my end

  • I disagree. ICBMs serve no purpose in a war unless you've already lost. Nuclear strike capability is suicidal and China's no-first-use policy makes ICBMs completely irrelevant to the discussion of China's war capability (particularly w.r.t. Taiwan and the SCS).

You don't launch nuclear weapons unless you've lost and you want the other side to lose, too.

  • What even uses a liquid fuel in the Chinese arsenal? The newer Dongfengs are all solid fuel. US intelligence once again demonstrates their impeccable research ability.

I guess the DF-4, but it was mostly decommissioned ages ago. There's like one or two hanging around for historical reasons.

  • Not internationally significant. This is US news.
