Modern capitalism in almost any developed country truly is at the stage that the practical implementation of national planned economy would be to just knit all the corporate internal central plans together into one great national plan. We are well past the mythical "1 million atomic small time producers only interacting through the market signals".
The problem is also that a lot of uni/college studying for students is endless, (not always but often) unfun and almost ritualistic stream of homework essays of given topics, that you just have to do to pass, and many times you are also punishes for going outside the set box. It was this for me. This is just because the real point of isn't to learn, or really prepare for working life or profession, or academic career it's really to quantify the students learning for a purpose of a grade that leads to a degree. Essays are just the easy way to test handling of abstract ideas for a large amount of students. Then people whine that students now are tempted to turn to the magic talking box that can do the tedious and boring work for them.
It's really the audacity that gets you. Also he talked shit about Francis too. He converted in 2019 and has second guessed 100% of the popes after his supposed conversion. Also with issue that are not even controversial. 'War bad' isn't some radical catholic or even christian position.
Every American company is loyal to the empire. If not by gleeful obedience then at least by threat of court orders and political pressure. I guess in Google's case it's that kind of gleeful obedience.
Talking about banning porn is just outrage porn for those for and against it. The point is to drive home surveillance state and most importantly drive discussion away from things that actually matter and the people in power desperately want people not to talk about or take notice. Modern liberal politics is very much an art of pretending to do something when actually doing nothing and just acting as the guarddog of even decaying society that has been politically hermetically sealed for the benefit of the top 1% funder class.
I don't know what's your point? By that metric human population got too high and over natural carrying capacity, when humans moved from hunter gathering to primitive agriculture.
Humans are not reliant on nature's given carrying capacity since humanity has always created it's own environment and has adapted, engineered and invented itself out of multiple unsustainable ecological collapses through the advancements in the quality of means of production.
And btw while I think it's shitty project to plan to increase teen pregnancies... Still, fuck anti-natalism and degrowth if that's your point.
But he is kinda right, despite the moral questionability and other social consequences of that line of thinking. Especially this let's lower age of consent. The birthrate decline is primarily about reduction in teen pregnancies. Women in their 20s and 30s are not having significantly less kids that previous generations, but teens are. However when it comes to the total child per woman the average age of becoming a mother is a major factor.
And what is the actual work requirement to copy-paste you post to your twitter? Assuming that they didn't spend their social-media person didn't spend time arguing with people on X.
While it would be based, they are not going to seriously accept Iranian ten point plan for any deal? They will take a breather, rearm and resupply and attack again during the negotiations.
I'm really starting to lean on the theory that this was not an rescue op, but a special forces mission to probably steal Iranian uranium. Explains why there were so many planes lost and why Trump is going apeshit rn with his movie villain monologue with deadlines. Why Hegseth also fired a bunch of generals, like gen. Randy George who likely opposed the idea beforehand. Trump is just obsessed on getting something over Iran that he could call a win and get a face saving option out of the war. Now his plan failed and he needs to double down.
Absolute financial parasitism. This is why we can't have nice things. People who own a license of something critical can just sit on their asses decades on end and collect unearned income from other companies who will in turn move to cost to the consumers.
Americans are so liberal that they have like ten words for it and every mainstream political opinion is just a type of liberalism.
