    I once bought a "PRS SE" off eBay for like $100 (~ £77). Of course it ended up being a 'made in China' knockoff. It wasn't too bad though. I ended up giving it away.

    I love your guitar. Sure wish I could try it out. 🎸 Are guitar shops common where you're from? In the US, they use to be a lot of them when I was a kid. You could walk in and play as much as you wanted. I don't see them too much anymore though, at least around where I live (SouthWest).

    I ask because the most expensive guitar I bought was $500 about 25 years ago. And I always wondered how much better or what I'd be buying if I spent 3K instead. I still don't know.

    All my guitars have always been a little "off" with harmonics and tuning. It's like if I get the tuning perfect, then the harmonics are off. I wonder if the extra money is what fixes that?

    The best guitar I ever had was an acoustic Takamine. That's the one that cost me 500.

  • Is "censorship-resistant social media" a misnomer for unmitigated hate speech? Is that the Implication you are making? Or do you know if it really is a magnet for right wingers?

    It would be very disappointing for a potential superior technology to be stomped out prematurely due to a swelling of assumed extreme political polarization.

    Anyway, I'll have to look up what a "map-reduce query" is. :)

    Do you think there's potential for a large, popular, and fast relay to become a sort of gatekeeper, with big centralized dominance? Like if Meta setup thousands of fast relays everywhere and started injecting advertisement attachments to user messages? Or collect info on each key so they can eventually ID and track you? Even if the user message are E2E encrypted, a relay could probably still attach an advertisement payload into the message somehow, no?

    I really don't know what I'm talking about. Just chatting really.

  • Taco Bell bean & cheeese burrito used to be 0.99 not too long ago. Now it's 2.50. A box a oreos at the grocery store was 2.49, not its 6.49 (and thr package holds half the cookies now!) Crazy.

    I understand things are cooling off. But that just means the prices won't continue to rise so fast. The prices aren't going to come down I don't think.

  • I just discovered them recently on a spotify suggestion. So glad. Sometimes things just work out. It's a numbers game. I've probably turned away 95% of what spotify recommends. I've had premium for a decade and the discover weekly playlist is still hit or miss. Sometimes I see a pattern, like every other week there may be a good song.
