  • Well that's the wonderful thing about being a cult leader. You're the only one who can solve the problem. So you get whatever you want, you get all the credit when things go well, and when everything goes wrong... you become everyone's scapegoat. It's not a valid excuse, but it is human psychology.

  • Quite frankly, trying to flip congress within the current system is the only play rn. Even if the game is rigged, there's nothing we can do about it until the average people both see it and care enough to do something.

As for calling you a Russian troll...surely you can put together the implications there

  • Not the commenter, but I'm guessing the logic is less should and more will. We live in a world where most elites are sociopaths attracted to power like moths to light, and will always try to do the maximum they think they can get away with to benefit themselves. Proper political systems don't get rid of this because its a human nature thing, they weaponize it by organizing power structures to align those interests with sections of the people

  • The prions might make a better president

  • That is unironically half the problem. We have a totally mythologized view of our own history that has made us damn near incapable of repeating it

  • I've always found it ironic how much we actually have in common with our adversaries

  • I hate that I laughed at that

  • Let's not. I like the solar systems orbits exactly as they are

  • It would be if you can find an elegant control scheme. Problem is, it has to be mapped to something, so you either can't move or can't use any buttons while altering it

  • Rebellion is just when you attempt regime change with violence, it doesn't require being morally in the right

  • That does not change my point. Despite- or perhaps because of- their efforts, the average American couldn't even tell you accurately when the Civil War happened from memory. It's once again not strictly their fault they don't know about those movements.

  • It's an insurrection or putsch at the very least

  • Admittedly, most formal attempts at rebellion against the American government since the Confederates are historically obscure. Whether they should be is an entirely seperate debate, but they are, so assuming malice on the part of someone not knowing more recent movements feels presumptuous

  • I felt like they were doing shit for the first few months, kept taking them but I'd sorta given up expectations, year in suddenly I realize I have boobs

Mind, I'm autistic, have ocd, and a generally chaotic irl, I am not claiming to he normal

  • Less bad != ok

  • That is what lawsuits are for. Why didn't this happen every other time a company did it?

  • No matter how bad you want it to be, discriminating against a higher class is not the same as a lower one. And compared to the history where women couldn't have bank accounts without a man's signature, could legally be rapid by their husband, this does not compare. To say nothing of the fact that men have real problems caused by the same patriarchy, the education and suicide gaps for example, being victims of non sexual crimes at a much higher rate, why is this the hill you die on?

  • If the ceiling don't land on him, which would be a horrifically ironic way to go

  • Maybe the guy blanked. Even if that is what happened, frankly, I think you're making a big deal out of very little
